Re: The Ashes 2013

I saw few Eng wickets, there was "planning", "attacking" by Australia, even for fast bowler there was fielder as VERY short square leg (if there is such a thing).

Re: The Ashes 2013

what a collapse of English team…Pakistan can WIN from England now! jo Haalat ai’n kii hai vohii Ghai’n kii bhii hai … :cb:

Re: The Ashes 2013

it’s so surprising that so far [one innings each] there has been NO LBW…amazing…innit?

The headline could read:

"After** Broad's** 5-for on Day 1, English batsmen flattened by Johnson and co. on Day 2!"

Re: The Ashes 2013

Who says only Pakistan can have such spectacular collapses, England has proved they can go one better. :rotfl:

Re: The Ashes 2013

All these teams look strong at home but can't do anything away from home.

Re: The Ashes 2013

A funny thing happened today. Pietersen got trolled by an Australian fan who asked him for an autograph. When Pietersen approached him, the spectator pulled back his mini bat refusing to allow Pietersen to sign it

something similar happened to Lee in 2005

Re: The Ashes 2013

Australia is in a commanding position. they are 280/4…a lead of 440 runs with 6 wickets intact.

Warner scored a magnificent century:

followed by another great century scored by the skipper, Clarke who is still batting at 108

Aussies must declare when they reach a score of 500 midway between the third session…this will give them an hour’s worth of play…they may be able to take a wicket or two.

they will have 2 full day’s of play to bowl the English team out and win the game…a win now will psychologically put the English team under pressure for the rest of the matches in the ashes.

24 wickets have fallen so far and surprisingly, NOT a single one was an lbw… mazing, innit?

Re: The Ashes 2013

at the stumps on Day 3…

Australia declared at 401 for 7 with a total LEAD of 560 runs and gave themselves about 13 overs to take a couple of English wickets…England were 24 for 2.

one tons each by Warner and Skipper Clarke…Haddin scored 53.

now, England need 538 runs to win which will be a daunting task considering they have already lost 2 wickets. their ONLY hope is to somehow play over the next two days which is equally challenging, if not impossible.

i’m sure England will lose by at least 350 runs.
