Who says only the sub-continentals specialise in preparing dull and flat pitches?

yaar yeh match Aaaastraalia main horaha heay yaa india main…
517/1 makes it seem like a batting paradise…and Cook making double ton after 600+ mins of batting at 54 SR…![]()
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
I think it is also a reflection of the quality of bowling on both sides. England have a slightly more balanced attack.... but world class, no way. Perhaps someone like McGrath or Warne would have still caused problems for the batters on the same flat surface. Add to that the Aussie fielding in this game which was poor by their usu. high standards. Even Collingwood, normally a safe catcher, dropped a dolly off Watson today
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
Australia is badly missing a quality spinner

Exactly. Pitches are getting flatter all around the world.
If this game was in the subcontinent.. the English and Aussie press would have been running wild with DUSTBOWL SUBCONTINENT articles.. and cook and hussey would have been labelled FLAT TRACK BULLIES!

Aussies bowling sucks too much
Johnson is their strike bowler

England played really well and they got a chance now to win the next one

I usually don't support Australia, but I hope they beat England.
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
Second Test, Adelaide Oval: Stumps Day 2
Australia 245
England 317/2 (Cook 136*, Pietersen 85*) are in a very strong position. They will probably look to bat all day tomorrow (day 3) and get a lead of 350+. For Australia to save this test now, their batters will have to do what Strauss, Cook and Trott did in Brisbane i.e. bat for two days...A big ask surely
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
Cook is on a role
200 at Gabba
100 already at Oval ![]()

Just love when Aussies r getting Pwned :D
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
I think Strauss should just declare now. Forecast is for rain on days 4 & 5 of the test match - heavy showers on day 5 - and that would only help Australia's cause of saving the game. The lead is already a healthy 306 and there is not much point in batting on IMO.
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
Rain (Mon and Tues) could still save Australia!
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
I hope not
England should declare and try to get Aus out near 400 and in this way they can win the match easily
