re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
Waleed.. just so you know bro.. here are the test series scores for the last few seriers in india
INd vs SL 2-0 from 4 games
Ind vs SA 1-1 from 2 games
India vs Aus 2-0 from 2 games
Ind vs NZ - looks like it will be 1-0 from 3 games
I think this is a pretty good percentage of results. No?
Thats my point india has been number 1 coz they got amazing batsman and they produce batting pitches
thats why India has never won a series in SA :D
Good Point. I guess watching cricket in Australia with Channel 9 coverage and Bill Lawry and Tony Greig doing the commentary makes it fun to watch. If India was playing in Australia I would've definitely watched it! No doubt Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid and Laxman are a treat to the eyes! As you can tell I am not a bhajji and Sreesanth Fan :)
To be honest no one is fan of sreesanth and Bhajji :D

I am confused. So if India produces batting pitches to suit their batters.. how come they keep winning all these tests? They need to take 20 wickets to win a test match.. right? How are the Indian bowlers..who are not the best in the business.. taking 20 wickets of all oppositions.. on BATTING pitches? Either everyone elses batting sucks.. or Indian bowlers are not that bad after all and deserve more credit? or Indian pitches not as one sided as people make them out to be?
By that logic India should actually prepare bowling friendly pitches. Their class batters will performa nyway because t hey are class.. and their mediocre bowlers will do good because of helpful conditions:P
Let's not forget India won their last away tours to ENG and NZ. They lost in AUS 1-2 but it shouldve been 2-1 cuz of the sydney madness!!!!!
India hasnt played too many series against SA anway.. last was in 2006.. 4 yrs ago.. when this team was not as good as they are right now.. they have done awesome in the last 2-3 yrs..and yes.. this SA tour will be crucial! .. it would be foolish to underestimate Zak Sree and Ishant on bowling friendly conditions in SA. This will be an amazing series. I cannot wait!!

Well dude ok i accept india has done well in overseas conditions from 2 3 years but they only managed to win against England at that time when England was not good too :D
Against Australia they lost
Against Africa they won the 1st match with sree bowling great but from that day he has not impressed
Guess what India has never won a series in Africa
its time to justify their place at No1 by beating them at their home :D
re: The Ashes 2010/11 + Australia v England 7-match one-day series
It has to do with 2 things
Ashes hype will always be greater than for any other test series regardless of the quality of the teams contesting it. Neither side can boast of possessing a world-class bowling attack. Aussie batting is also not as good as it used to be (1999 to 2007)
cricket in Australia is always more watchable for a no. of reasons - commentary, TV cameras, grounds in general, weather etc.
