There is defend yourself tactics by resorting to what you did right … And then there is defend yourself tactics by finger pointing, blaming others, … The latter is an immature approach, unwelcome and unprofessional. I can’t believe that you believe there are only two options … Eat or be eaten … There is always a better choice to take … And I think it shows through to Lord Sugar very clearly when a person can defend him/herself by resorting to what he/she did well rather than pick on small personal issues or play tactical game of trying to get rid of the stronger candidate through ganging up … And in the past they have done that … They have fired people who were trying to stitch up the stronger players for playing dirty.
When Alan Sugar asks the candidates about “who was responsible” he takes it with a pinch of salt … Because he recognises that there is a survival battle going on … He uses that question to get perspectives of what actually happened. At the end he makes his mind up … The best thing to do is to give as much positive information about your contribution as you can … But also to make sure that you contribute in every task and make mental notes of how you contributed … Because that can be your life line.
Of course, it’s only natural during the meeting that one would state their own value in the task. Anyway, Since we’re going around in circles, i’m gonna have to agree to disagree mate.
Can’t wait for episode 4, looks like it’s gonna be a cracker.
