Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I have heard a lot about it but never read it :)

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Loved the book and would recommend it too. It was the first Paulo Coelho book I read and then continued to read a few others. I don't think a movie would do justice to the book.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I was sceptical when I was told about this writer and his books.
But he was so good. And books were amazing.
I read Alchemist twice I think.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Now this is what we call emergency situation.
You have to read it ASAP.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

An emergency situation is when you have to go. And nowhere to go.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I drove across the continent, only no where to go is, when you are stuck in traffic in the middle lane on a highway, other wise there is always a place.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The last book that I read of Paulo Colhe was The winner stands alone :)

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The middle lane is as good a place as any.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Its a good read. Paulo's plot in Alchemist contains various places which prove that Spain's folklore is heavily influenced by Arab Culture.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

this is one TOP BOOK mind you. I read it a few months after it was available in Cyprus, and that affect...this book had one me, lasted for quite sometime.

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I should have read that Book before I confessed my love to someone or after that. I didn't try and so I lost. Maktub, huh? Maktub means "everything is written". A term which the Shopkeeper in the Book uses to describe life/situations.

Anyway, what do you readers of this Book like, don't like?

Re: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I liked the main point of following ones dream :)
