The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

OK guys here some question i’m intressted in to hear answers from various School of thoughts (like Sunni, Shia, Deobandi, Naqshbandi etc.)

What’s ur stance on the arrivel of the Promissed Messiah/Issah ?

When he’ll grace the earth ?

What will be his status/title (Mujaddid, Rasool, Nabi) ?

P. S.: Since i’m an Ahmadi myself, please spare me and other PPL on this board any kind of bashing of any belief (Ahmadis included) but rather post something that has to do strictly with the above mentioned questions or simply stay away.

Don’t ruin this thread as who is wrong and who is right. Nor i ask u to state here who is a Muslim according to u and and who not. So Please Please refrain from that.

Any genuine attempt to answer my questions will be a nice gesture. Jazak’Allah

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

My stance of the Messiah is that he has come and GONE... The promissed Messiah WAS none other than Prophet Muhammad salli Allahu alaihi wasallam! He WAS the promissed one... he brought a Divine Message that is a set of Mighty Incorruptable Laws for ALL humanity. No more Messiahs are coming or are promissed... we have the Book of God to guide us now.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Hareem as you refer to thread openers remarks, please also read the bold part in the opening post. Lets not be narrow minded. We may learn from all sorts of views. If you dont agree with their views thats fine but I dont think you can or should stop them from expressing their views.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Zero_Khan has started this thread to listen to the opinion of various Islamic schools of thought........People who don't belong to any Islamic school of thought are ruining this thread by posting their opinions(whatever they are).
I still haven't declared them wrong nor I said I disagree with them.

So aly-gi please open the window of your brain.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

One, if not THE big downfalls of organized religion is the glee and sanctimony that fills adherents' hearts in telling others who is and who isn't a part of their faith.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

In my own humble opinion, the concept of coming Messiaya or Mahdi is a declaration by the living that we can not solve our conflicts and various issues amoungst ourselves, so we save all that Mess to be cleaned up when the so called Messiaya arrives..............

**In the mean time we do not need to address the issues, but go at each other like wild dogs.........:( **

**It is all a Cop Out..... like the hippies used to say.............:) **

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

It would be better if people here give their opinions and also name their "School of Thought".

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

I will try to keep it very brief as we all are busy people and can’t go through lengthy postings

I am DEOBANDI (not a scholar, just a practicing muslim) and this is basic DEOBANDI belief (which should not be different than others). Btw, DEOBANDIS are sunnis and follow Hanafi maslak.

  1. First Dajjal will come and try to lure people in believing that he is Messiah
  2. Then Imam Mehdi will come. He will create resistance against Dajjal but will not achieve ultimate success
  3. Then Isa (Jesus) will appear.

a. He will come as a Nabi, meaning that he will follow the shariah of
Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).
b. He will come down from heavens and land in Damascuss
c. He will join Imam Mehdi and kill Dajjal
d. He will fight Yajooj and Majooj and destroy them
e. He will get married and live for another 30 years or so
f. He will die and get buried next to Prophet Mohammed’s grave
(there is a place left there for one grave inside roza-e-mubarak)

I think I answered all your queries. Good question

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Thanx for the reply ..... that kinda answers i was looking for

My aim is to present this to a few Germans i use to talk about Islam in general ..... so they asked my this specific question ....

So i thought i ask u guys who practice/believe in it

I hope more replies will follow

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

please, check again. I think he wont destroy them but he will take muslims on a mountain and yajooj majooj will be destroyed by an air sent by Allah..

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Thanks for the feedback. As I said, I am not a scholar so I definitely don’t know the details. I summarized the events but you might be right.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

I take my statement about the air back..

The exact thing that I read from the books I consulted now, is that, some kind of disease (a worm) will be put in their neck that will destry Yajooj Majooj

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

JazakAllah Khair for the explanation.......just one thing needs correction......Imam Mahdi will come before the appearance of Dajjal.
In order first Mahdi, then Dajjal and then Jesus(AS).

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Is my face red now? Both Hareem01 and Double Roti are right.

  1. Imam Mehdi will appear many years before Dajjal and his appearance is amongst the first major sign of Qiyamat.

  2. Yajooj and Majooj will die because of a Dua of Prophet Isa (they will die because of an infection) and not in direct combat

Zero-one bhai, please make that correction

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Dear Hareem-ji

Basically if someone with Islamic school of thought gives an opinion you will listen...whether good or bad opinion
And if someone without Islamic school of thought gives opinion you will not listen...whether good or bad opinion

Kind of narrow-minded and so I guess its **you **that needs to open up your brain or mind.

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Yes i will listen to it.

I'll still listen to it but this thread is not for those who are without any islamic school of thought.

Sorry can't open my brain .....i might die in the process.:)

Re: The advent of the promissed Messiah/Issah

Correct, the worms will eat away at them from their necks.
