There is a theory out there that our 3 dimensional universe is nothing but a slice (like a shadow) of a four dimensional space (just like the shadow of a 3 dimensional object is 2 dimensional, shadow of 4 dimensional space is our 3 dimensional space) . I am not talking about time being the 4rth dimension, I am talking about spatial dimension.
How many of you have heard of that (or read about that). Do you believe that there is a clash between what we know from our religion and such theories?

Visualization for non physicist is pretty hard. In fact I doubt that even they can visualize it. I doubt if our mind is capable to comprehend such info. Imagine that everything you see around yourself, now your mind has to add extra dimension to that info. Amazing amount of info that would be

Allah is rab-ul-alameen and Prophet is Rehmat-ul-alameen, so I think that if there are more dimensions, islam is actually in agreement with that

Jins dont need to be living in the 4rth dimension. They can live in this dimension and be invisible. All they need is a strong force field around them for the light to bend around their body instead of reflecting, so they become invisible.

It reminds me of the series CUBE...O I friggin' love that movie! From a supernatural/religious point of view, you could say spirits, demons, unicorns, witches and all exist in 4rth dimension hence they can see us but we can't. When they cross our space, we can't describe what we see and it will appear to change its shape until it passes. We can draw in 2d, 4rth dimensional dwellers can draw in 3d, meaning whatever they may draw will be real like us, it will be 3d. This concept is so complex but makes you question everything, doesn't it? Since 4rth dimensional dwellers have the ability to make 3D objects, it's quiet possible that our God is a 4rth dimensional dweller. Now if there's more than one dweller, than does it mean there are multiple creators? One thing is for sure, there is a creator.
Our 3D world is engulfed by the 4D world, creating a hypercube, hence it could be compared to having shadows. The more dimensions you add, the hyper the cube gets.
Now, do I believe in all that? Nope, it's just a theory. It's amazing though.

3rd dimension has a tendency to suck 2nd dimension into so that enables 4th dimension to suck 3rd dimension into it too.black holes are known for sucking.

The most commonly accepted theory is that time is the 4th dimension. In reality there is the possibility of infinite i.e. n dimensions. And yes its hard to wrap our heads around it since we can think only in 3D and finite (starting and ending).
As for 2D and 1D its possible to imagine but impossible to achieve, as it is impossible for us to create something with length and width but zero depth.
Or maybe we've just got it all wrong. :) Will have to wait for Aakhirah to find out.

String theory and its derivatives postulate more than 4 (possibly up to 11) dimensions...
An ideal 'way of life' in my opinion would be one that enables me to life in harmony with the universe, rather than explaining the 'physics' of the universe to me. Wouldn't you agree? I think the reconciliation is moot.
There is a theoretical possibility but there have been virtually no observation that may support this idea.
At least I have never heard of any such experiment.
It really makes no difference whether anyone believes in such theories or not. But then, it is an interesting idea.

I have heard this and also believe on this .... I think there are many signs already pointed in Islam but no one has investigated it ......
Abt this four Dimension I just recall the incident of our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace by upon him) when he visited 7 skies and on his return there was no change in time on earth .... So can't we take this as miracle of fourth dimension (although this is miracle of Allah) ..... Sorry if someone thinks i took that incident in a wrong way bcoz i'm not an Islamic scholar so some religious persons can be angry .....
