That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

In March 10, 2006, two professors wrote an article about the extent of influence Israeli lobby in the US has over US foreign policy. Link to that article is here.](http://cphinterpretation.blogspot.com/2006/03/israeli-know-how-to-shut-people-up.html)
It was written by Chicago professor John Mearsheimer and Harvard professor Stephen Walt, titled “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”.

I have heard that these two professors have now been fired by their universities. Is it true? It brings to mind Ted Turner who once talked about Israeli “terrorism” against Palestinians.

In my view it is encouraging sign that Americans have started seeing the harm the blind Israeli support is causing to US foreign policy. Even though Zionist supporters take action against these people calling them “anti-Semitic”, still people in the US have started taking notice. Good.

Any comments?

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

Both are extreme left-wing professors from left-wing universities

so I am not surprised

Israel bashing is quite common on most American universities

But i am right wing, conservative, Muslim, pro-Israel, anti-india, massively pro-pakistan person

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

From where you stand, they definitely are "extreme" :)

can you provide names of more professors from "most" American universities?

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

how left wing? the University in question is sooo 'liberal' it took it's name off of the report.. Not initially, but after due pressure was put on it by the same Israel Lobby that claims they don't exist or exert that kind of pressure as is suggested in the study.

Oh the Irony

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

Ok since when are these universities left-wing? They are by all means centerists, after all their graduates become the corporations that run US congress.

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

lol, centrists

dude why do you prentend to talk about something for which you have no idea?

why must you have an opinion on everything, but you know and I know and you know that I know that you know absolutely nothing on this subject matter?

Re: That article “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”

I believe George W Bush did his MBA at that “extreme left wing” university Harvard. :rotfl:

Re: That article “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”

and so?

Re: That article “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”

Left-wing universities? wow. What do you think make them left-wing? And what does someone expressing his opinion in favor of America or against Zionists, a leftist?
Do you think Zionists are all conservatives?

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

What makes those universities left wing you ask.

Well since the fact they are called liberal universities, the fact that Frankfurt Program was established in Columbia university advocating Abortion, Contraceptives, etc...

You really have no conceptual knowledge on this matter do you?

Why do you pretend to know something which you clearly do not?

By the way, Zionists, Jews can have many different political viewpoints.

Re: That article “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”

:konfused: so if they are liberal, they are automatically leftwing? :salute: to you!

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

Liberalism is a socialist ideology just as cosveratism is a nationalist ideology.

Its simple Political Science 101....

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

so when US said they were going to liberate Afghanis and Iraqis, didn't they mean they were going to "socialism"ise them? .... ahhh now I know ;)

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

well liberate and liberalism have different meaning in politial science lingo

as to if they want to socialise them

that depends on the voters

whether they want a left wing government or a right wing government

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

^ all this "left wing/right wing" thing depends where you stand :o

Re: That article "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy"

Well I am right wing

Re: That article “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy”

You are a complex socio-political person who can not be described through existing terminology.

Having said that, may I ask how many of you have read the article for which this thread has been opened?

I am half way. Its interesting though mostly the information appears to be known to all but has been re-worded and organized. :chai:

Zionist Mercenary:

And how does it disprove what they are saying?

Does 'right-wing' mean pro-Zionist and 'left-wing' mean anti-Zionist? Of course not. And if this is the case then what does this talk of left-wing and right-wing has to do with what those professors are saying? I don't know if they are leftist, but even if they are, how can someone reject their conclusion just because they are leftist?

Also, what makes Harvard University "left-wing"?

Their "disagreement" with rightists i.e. Mercenary :)
