man i dont agree with people here who like this pitch, yea our batsmen got runs im happy for that though, indian bowling was extremely pedestrian buttttttttt these type of pitches r horrible for cricket, i hate watching run feasts, thats y 1 reason the ashes was so good, because pitches had something in it for both batsmen and bowlers! just like odi's in india where there r scores in ecxess of 330 i hate it!

One good thing about the pitch is that its still holding good. So the bowlers are evenly distroyed on both sides.:)

Its pitches like these that kill test match cricket. I am wondering how much credence to put on those 4 centuries.

Thank you Ehsan bhai for pointing the obvious. Please pray to allah for mental health of those guppiues who thought that great Pakistani gosht-khor bowlers will be able to get something out of this lifeless pitch because veggie-eating Indians didnot have in them what it takes to exploit the pitch.

^ what makes my blood boil is the fact that if we look at the two teams India has a stronger batting line up and we have a stronger bowling attack. So why did we produce a pitch like this and negate our strength.

Yep... I agree... But I am really indifferent to pitch quality. Actually if another one day of game happens then this will help us get out of form Indian batsmen back in form. Many of them were struggling before this series. So thank you pakistan. Sad thing is that we will not have any result.
What makes my blood boil is cokciness of some Guppies who were defending this pitch and blaming Indian bowlers for everything. Now they are all hiding.

Well the Indian attack, especially their pace attack left much to be desired. Pathan was the only guy of any consequence and who did he have in support, Agarkar and Ganguly. 
If we had a pitch which would have been responsive to fast bowlers, than this Indian attack would have suffered and Pak would have had a big advantage. As it is we will probably dent some of the confidence our bowlers had and at the same time give the Indian’s batting practice. I dread to think what Tendulkar would do on this pitch. I hope I am wrong and our attack gets him out cheaply but it doesn’t look good. If we get the Indian team out under 500 runs, I will consider that a very satisfactory result from our bowlers.

F & B, don't tell me that now you are trying to say that this indian lineup where we had gangu as the first change bowler is not responsible for the 600+ runs. I have seen pathetic indian bowling lineup but this one is the most pathetic of all. If you are thinking that Pakistan scored almost 700 due to the pitch and not the 2nd class indian bowling lineup, than good for you. I just hope that indian managemnt is also thinking the same way and play the same bowling lineup in the next 2 matches.
Believe me that it was good in every sense for indian team that this pitch did not appear to be the one which they initially claimed.
As far as people defending this pitch is concerned, there is a reason behind this. This pitch appeared not too different from the pitches which we had 2 months against England. I don't blame you for following that test series since it was not involving India. Pakistan almost won the series 3-0. When ever England collapsed, it happened in a matter of a session. Infact during the last match played on Lahore, Pakistan scored 600 plus runs and dismissed england twice under 300.
If the attempt was to make pitches similar to the one we had during England series, than I dont blame the groundmen or curator at all.

No..It is not. If you were true then team with supposedly best bowling lineup would have gotten atleast one wicket in 30 overs. Instead it was whacked all over the park with run average of 5 run/over. Even Indian bowler were not spanked that badly in first 30 overs.

So are you trying to say that indian batsmen are not capable of scoring that fast? or arn’t they good enough?
You have doubts about an opening pair of sehwag and dravid but have no doubts about the credibility of a bowling line up where gangu is the first change bowler:rolleyes:

Please criticize the Pakistani bowlers after they conceed 679+ in this match.
The pitches were identical during the English series and the Pakistani bowlers showed their magic on day 5, lets wait till the whole inning is finished before judging the Pakistani bowlers’ performance.
It was a similiar scenario in Multan where India piled up the runs and the pitch was declared flat, until the Indian bowlers knocked over Pakistan twice in 3 days after Pakistan started out well.
