YUMM! I love eating meal in Thalis 
I always thought it was the Bohri tradition. I have had my grandma’s bohri friends set up the thali meals…and their food was SOO delicious… EVEN in Bohri weddings, food is served in Thalis with 6 people for each thali. And then food is served…starting from Icecream, and then comes rolls, smaosas and snacks (appetizers) and then soup and main meal with variety of yummy foods.
