Text-messaging

I don’t get what the darn big deal is. Everyone is texting these days. Its this new hype.

I was driving along on this golf cart one day, and the driver of the cart was texting while driving. He wouldn’t stop despite me asking him to watch where he’s going. I even here that the kids in school spend their class time texting each other. Texting at work, texting as you walk, texting as you do your grocery.

I mean what the hell man.

Re: Text-messaging

It's a great way to communicate...

Re: Text-messaging

new way? :konfused: I thought texting was so 2001. I used to live on texting, not anymore though.

Re: Text-messaging

Yes! It arrived in U.S pretty recently when American operators started to move to Digital Mobile Telephony instead of Analog. The Old World Order has known this for a long time.

One reason of SMS popularity: Cheap: Both domestically and internationally.

Re: Text-messaging

PcG you hate everything don’t you?

So ppl txt msg, big deal.. it cud be worse, they could be screaming in ur ear about the nipple clamps they’re gonna bring tongiht.. :bummer:

Re: Text-messaging

It's all the rage in Pakistan. SMS. I hate "typing" on a phone. That's what MSN is for.

Re: Text-messaging

it caught on rather late in the US.

Re: Text-messaging

I like txt msging, but not those forward joke type things.. thas all everyone does here, joke txts/forwards, not to mention missed calls..

Re: Text-messaging

I like SMS!.

Re: Text-messaging

you’re in pak, na?

Re: Text-messaging

It's been popular in england for years now. Am surprised that it caught on in the U.S after us.

Re: Text-messaging

Please forward me all such msgs.

Re: Text-messaging

:rotfl:

it gets the job done. I don’t have to keep on trying someone’s phone and receive a busy signal every time. I just send a text.

Re: Text-messaging

Its so out of date now, more of a teenage thing to do. Grown ups use it very rarely, mostly as a cheap way to communicate or if you can't be bothered getting into a conversation with the recipient so you use a text to keep it short and precise.

Re: Text-messaging

I like em, they are very direct to the point, no time waste type of thing. If you call someone first u gotta say ur salams then ask em how they are doing, how the day is bla bla bla...atleast this way its straight to the point.

Re: Text-messaging

yeah next thing you know people are diving talaaak to each other on text messages *rotfl

Re: Text-messaging

PCG has started watching tv again.

Re: Text-messaging

USA/CA both are 5 years behind Europe when it comes to Mobile communication. So obviously trend has to be 5 years behind too.

Few things I hate about pakistanis,

1) 1Rs. Text kartay huway nani narr jati hay.
2) Miss calls for no reasons.
3) Will never pick up the phone if an unknown (or no) number appears on the phone screen. They let the phone ring even the person tries 20 times.

Point number 3 is due to ... no clean conscience of pakis, most of them either own money or have lied to others etc etc.

Re: Text-messaging

3- Sweeping generalisations Najim  Those rules may apply to all people who owe someone something.

2- There is always a reason, however stupid it may be. Like one of my sisters friends doesn;t answer her calls cos she doesn;t want to be readily available

1- what the heck is nani narr jati hey?

Re: Text-messaging

Come to think of it, I first started my text craze in early 1999. It was a bunch of guppies I was texting :hehe:
