i dont think the service provider can tell that easily if cdg is using tethering. its just a bunch of ip packets as far as they are concerned, and cant tell apart traffic your phone generates from what your laptop tethering generates. unless they are super-super-snoopy and painstakingly put together a lot of difficult things. bottomline, you should be ok, cdg.

No no, I meant using the built in hot spot that comes with the phone without installing a third party app. WHy can’t she use that? SO I’m thinking maybe because there’s a charge for it.
