Really… this is news to me friend…

Islam is simmilar in doctrine to Judaism and Christianity and you know the Christian codes for Blasphemy were as harsh as anything Islam states and Judaism just as much… okay they have watered it down these days with the Synod and Papal Bullas reducing the severity with the times but that does not mean Islam is anywhere near the only faith that allows violence as a response.

However I do agree that unnessacary hitbacks are not a good idea and are totally counterproductive but human nature is a very cruel and relentless thing which when unleashed can be a force few things can stop…

As you rightly say other religions have adapted their blasphemy laws in keeping with current times and issues of liberty, freedom of speech etc. Islam has not, even though most Muslims do not strictly follow the blasphemy law.
