Re: Terrorism?
umm so we shouldn't get rid of musharraf because we'd playing into hands of US? or we should get rid of him regardless of what US has in store and find a better replacement?
and just by changing leaders u think pakistan would be free of US influence?
individuals matter but goals matter more, and there are many different ways of getting to your goals through one avenue or another.
so Pakistanis need to do what is best for Pakistan..knowing that pakistan , like many other countries would always be under pressure for one thing or another, thats the way life is.
But who can deliver results for the nation, for the people. If they think kafeel Bhai can deliver those results then they are free to vote for all pakistan topidrama association. the interesting thing is that such incidents are used as reasons to bring about change....but change from what to what? and if you set aside such recent incidents for a secind and look at greater scheme of things.. what does the country and the people need, and who can deliver, look at track records and figure it out.
Re: Terrorism?
wo will ever dare to look with a bad eye towards Pakistan...and try to reach the warm waters of Gwadar..with the pride that ...Napolean and Hitler could not stop these Red Bear....will be crushed into 26 pieces....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and no need to tell that...Taliban is outcome of that...when the diry "Established democratic country" left all the mujahideen and Pakistan....alone in the battlefield.....1988...as when Pakistan...on the account of himself...faced the most dangerous part..on its neck....
As usual...these** "Established democratic country "** are in habbit of leaving on average 8 women ...when they finally settle to one !!!!!
Re: Terrorism?

yah ppl of Karachi are being held hostage. they get caught in the middle when operations are launched which harrass ordinary citizens and amde waves in Human rights watch groups ..I have posted UN reports on those operations earlier.
the funny thing is that all along ppl have been whining, oh elections were rigged electiosn were rigged blahbidy blahbidy blah. but when it comes to MQM..the accusation is "why do YOU PEOPLE keep electing them again and again"
aray bhai...as I ask them...are the elections rigged or not. if they are/were not then we have a democracy. if they are rigged then dont blame ppl of karachi. you just cant have it both ways :D

posts? one irrelevant post was removed where you launched a personal attack on another user, there was nothign else in that post. so lets not make it more than it is.
Re: Terrorism?

Through rigged polls - as Fraudia already indicated.
Re: Terrorism?
looks like nawaz, BB, Qazi and even MQM have said at one time or another that elections are rigged. ![]()
toh why blame karachi walas now …
on one hand agencies are blamed for rigging elections on the other hand voters are blamed for bringing parties in power.
why would agencies rig elections to make a prty win that people were going to vote in power anyways ![]()

lol @kafeel bhai.
What can i say? I am an optimist. Looking at the economic position of the country its unlikely that we'll be free of any pressure. But individuals do matter. Especially in country like ours where literacy is below 40%. That is one of the reasons why democracy has always been a sham for us. Pakistanis get manipulated, influenced and coaxed very quickly. Sometimes though through sheer pot luck we stumble upon a gem. May be gem is really pushing it at the current situation but we gotta make the best of what we can.
I am not setting any score by the CJ but i'd welcome if Mushy leaves in a dignified manner, for one thing it would spare us the unnecessary but looming bloodshed. As for who can fix it? mushy can't so why not take a plunge? Either way the odds are in for a change.
Re: Terrorism?
i think i need to finally retire from GS politics and get a new girl friend. :D
Re: Terrorism?
Well what MQM do, they cast vote even for the people who are abroad. They casted vote for my brothers and bhabi who were in KSA. They do not allow other candidates' polling agent by badmashi etc!
Re: Terrorism?
from 1988..every time..rigged poles...ridiculous....
if accept...why not 15 millions throw...these few in Arabian Sea....
Re: Terrorism?

I meant from US perspective, that people dont matter but US goals matter, I am not saying from an internal perspective. In Pakistan there are no goals indpenedent of the people. I am yet to see a comprehensive plan by a single political party on what the want to do and how if they come to power. So in a scenario like that someone who is delivering results right now is better than someone who failed to deliver results ro just delivered horrible results but wants a 3rd go at running the country. yeah right

hey man that is what all the major political leaders are saying aout recent polls, whether its maulanas, BB or nawaz or even MQM. So either they are lying..and there is no rigging in which case we have a democracy in pakistan right now, or they are right and agencies rig elections, in which case blaming an avg citizen in karachi for MQM is ridiculous, you pick which one is the case.

why ji? is your current gf a poster in GS politics?
Re: Terrorism?
1988 and 1990 no rigging - people voted them in masses. But afterwards they have been rigging it.

yep i agree no third chances should be allowed. I rate the third attemptees as badly as i rate the current one. Fresh face can be another possibility. What say u about PTI for instance or some one from religious barracks?
Re: Terrorism?
PTI is the only party I would vote for if i could vote :) even though I have serious concerns about their lack of coherent plans, but that seems to be the norm. make plans and policies once u get in power.
religious barracks showed their lack of substance in NWFP. if they cant run that province how can we expect them to run the country.

For exactly the same reason - why 60 million do not throw away the army ruler up in the north or why a whole village do not throw away the zaalim wadera.
