The irresponsible discipline of the Law Enforcement agencies is appaulling. Just watched CNN and people standing literally right outside the Hotel. Normally people would be pushed far back to avoid any more casualties, the area would be cordoned off.
The reporter herself was surprised at the lack of security even while operation goes on. People are just standing around as if it's some sort of a demolition show going on, and the grenades and bullets can still be heard constantly.

Or maybe they have a protocol in place that allows for public to be so close to the Hotel building.
For that you need to have a plan. Indian forces went there without a plan, I'm pretty sure some of the people (other than attackers) died of friendly-fire.

JERUSALEM: Security forces were premature in storming the besieged prime premises taken over by the terrorists in Mumbai, Israeli security
experts have opined.
Criticising the handling of the hostage crisis, the experts said “Indians should have sanitized the area and first collected intelligence about the terrorists before launching flushing out operations,” a media report here said.
"In hostage situations, the first thing the forces are supposed to do is assemble at the scene and begin collecting intelligence,"a former official in Israel’s famed anti-terror agency Shin Bet told ‘The Jerusalem Post’.
“In this case, it appears that the forces showed up at the scene and immediately began exchanging fire with the terrorists instead of first taking control of the area,” he said.
Defence officials told the daily that Israel was not planning on sending commando units but had offered the Indians any assistance they required.

Niksik - We can pray for the innocent victims. We can pray that who ever committed this crime will be seen as an individual and not blame any particular community.
In such situations, us Muslims are twice the VICTIMS.
First: We feel horrible for what's going on and how innocent lives are lost. Second: WE feel MORE TERRIBLE that the Non-Muslims do not allow us to express how bad we feel. Instead we are Judged and frowned upon.
We support peace and wish these things do not happen. It is obvious that there is some outside force trying to bring a community down.
May Allah help us all. (The victims, the families, and THOSE THAT ARE hell bent on destroying this world peace).
(GOSH I have to turn off CNN - cause they are leaking in the names of Pakistan and Afghanistan WITHOUT even investigating. They are saying things like these have happened in Pak and Afghani. So are they tring to say - THEY ARE THE ONES to blame?).
