Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Coming out on June 2nd (North America), this the third part of a story involving the artificial intelligence created by the US military to oversee their missles and defences. The intelligence got out of control and launched missles against strategic targets in other countries. When the other countries retaliated, an all-out war started, except there was another enemy, the Machines. The machines raised an army of androids adn various combatants. There is a human resistance in the future, but the Machines, having discovered time travel, send soldier into the past to eliminate the resistance from there, specifically John Conner, the leader of the human resistance.

The first movie centered around an android being sent back (Arnold Shwardznegger, excuse the spelling :)) to kill John Conner’s mother. The second movie was centered around a newer model than Arnold (the T-1000 aka Mercury Man) who was sent to kill the pre-teen John Conner. The third one is centered so that’s a few hours before Judgment Hour, when the machines launched the first missles and had others come raining back.

Although I know I’ve given most of the plot away, I still suggest seeing the movies; rent them, buy them—they’re worth it. T2:Judgement Day is one of my favourite movies and a legend, and T1 follows close behind. Although I believe the third one will not be as great, a lot of money was spent on it, and it’s worth watching just because it’s the third in an excellent series. See you in front!

T2 was one of the few sequels that totally blew away its predecessor. I can't wait for T3.

i don't think the movie is gonna be good. the trailor i saw during reloaded sucked major time. watching arnie playing with his head like a soccer ball is enough cheesy i'd say.

T3 - Cameron = Crap

Lookin forward to it, but I agree; Cameron not being a part of it might result in shortcomings.

The trailer for the third movie sucked in comparison to the second one, those scenes with the Mercury Man warping through bars, changing face and more made the movie one of the most anticipated. The flow of T2 was so brilliant, and made you feel what was happening could be real, yet still some sort of an horrific nightmare was just one thing I'll remember it for. The new one, I think, is a step backwards, they have a solid state warrior again, although the idea of Judgement hour racing to meet them is a good touch. I'm still gonna watch even though it's obvious this movie was created just to carry on a successful franchise, but I don't expect to bungle this movie that seriously. See you in front!

hmmm shud be gud although i dint understand ne thin in the first two parts cause i was what 14 or 15 years old :konfused: so i dunno wht it is bout

Agreed, T2 was in a class of it's own. But you never know, we'll see what T3 has to offer.

The Game Responds:

*Matrix Reloaded blew chunks. Old school fans, get ready for the Terminator; the most badass movie character ever. People, That Is All.*

T3 - Rise of the Machines

Comes out today in USA, I simply can't wait, all the shows are already booked, so can't watch it till tommorrow.
But the most anticipated and probably the best movie after Matrix 2 & 3.
I heard some very good reviews on the movie, many say it is better then 1st sequal aka Terminator 2.

I have read nothing but good things about T3 unlike other movies(Matrix2, dumb and dumberer, 2fast2furious). This movie seems to have alot of action supported by a good plot. Hasta Lavista baby

Yeah, unlike other movies where most of the action scenes are done through special effects, in T3 most action are done through real life stunts.

Yes, can't wait for this one. Sure it can never be as spectacular are T2( No James Cameron) but being a sequel to such a great flick( T was good , but nowhere as good as T2), it sure is going to be worth a watch.

The theatres are being filled up very quickly. We went to a theatre to see it, and the next four shows were sold out! Hoping to see it soon.

A decade has passed since John Connor (NICK STAHL) helped prevent Judgment Day and save mankind from mass destruction. Now 25, Connor lives “off the grid” - no home, no credit cards, no cell phone and no job. No record of his existence. No way he can be traced by Skynet - the highly developed network of machines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Until.out of the shadows of the future steps the T-X (KRISTANNA LOKEN), Skynet’s most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet. Sent back through time to complete the job left unfinished by her predecessor, the T-1000, this machine is as relentless as her human guise is beautiful. Now Connor’s only hope for survival is the Terminator (ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER), his mysterious former assassin. Together, they must triumph over the technologically superior T-X and forestall the looming threat of Judgment Day.or face the apocalypse and the fall of civilization as we know it.

I thought they’d already destroyed SkyNet. I’m supposing they’ll figure this story in by defining how time works in the Terminator universe. Probably about how, the future has been changed but until the present doesn’t come upto the old future, everything still exists, or by having Skynet find some way of still making itself up. Ciao

The first one was the best IMO, the wannabe cool kid got on my nerves in the second one.

The second was the best one ever. James Cameron really took movie sequals in the new direction with that one. But this new movie, I'm not really interested in it. It'll be full of special effects, chessy action and hot babe (terminatrix) is thrown in as a bonus while the script would be much worse than Matrix-Reloaded.

Xtreme I didn't know you were jealous of that cool kid.

Gohan how can you agree with Xtreme? He lkes the first one better..pugla :)

just like matrix reloaded was an utter disspointment... i am getting the similar feeling for this one 2

I used to think it would be crap, after looking at the trailer, I decided to spend my $7!! The 'ill drive' scene was good, and like Umair316 said, the real stunts are an added attraction, now that everythings CGI

Alot of people are thinking that this new one's gonna suck. Maybe they're just being defensive, thinking that this new one might ruin the Terminator franchise. Well, I think that when the crew and cast started to work on this, they weren't trying to top T2, instead they just wanted to make something that would complement T2, even if it had to take a backseat to T2 (and I think it will). I think people are judging T3 too harshly. I know it's become a virtual cult thing, but T2 is just a movie, and it cannot be toppled from it's place as a legend by another new movie. You see, it offers no opposition to T2, just complement, just like the Matrix trilogy is being forced to:p. Don't hold the fact that it's the third in a brilliant series stop you from watching it, watch it if you feel its a good enough movie to see. And let me tell you, if you spent money on Matrix (1 or 2), you'll wanna watch this. Happy viewing!
