Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

i just came back.....watched it and i give 5 stars :biggthumb

movie was amazing and hmm obviously not as good as T2 but certainly worth watching....it rocked!!

*So what if Cameron isn't there? Aah-nuld is still there, baby! Can't wait till Saturday to see the only movie I'm going to watch in theaters this year. People, That Is All.*

good flick, that girl is intense and the humor is surprisingly good

trailers look disappointing… T2 was great in the sense that they managed to keep the mystery of whether Arnold was the hero or the villain.. and this hollywood PC crap of ‘taking care of chick’s feelings’ blows big time.. i hate it when sequel to ‘masculine’ movies are neutered to bring in the women… who asked them to include a female borg?? “She’ll be back??”… who the hell gave them permission to mess with an all time favorite movie line??

what’s next.. Rocky fights a female contender?

</end rant>

Tough gal roles can work in some movies - take Alien and Sigourney Weaver for example. But yeah, I hate it when films like Terminator sacrifice their original intensity for bells and whistles. Still...maybe it'll live up to the hype.

I just saw it, and I must say, it was a good use of my money. The CGI was beautiful, and the TX was beautiful ;). Arnold, while you could see his white hairs when he got a close up, and a lot more creases, did a pretty good job, and even at 56, looked a lot like the original Terminator. Arnold is one person that can not be replaced in the T-series.

I've heard the John Conner from T2 is a drug addict now, so that's why he wasn't back. Sara Conner was killed off, as it is, so no one had to try to fill her shoes.

The storyline really didn't give a lot more to the series, but did offer a good ride for two-something hours. There were some pretty wicked action scenes in there, but for some reason a lot of it seemed like mutilated scenes from the previous movies (villian in a truck, Arnold on a bike, anyone?)

I thought the humour belittled the movie a lot of times. Makes it seem like no one's caring about what's happening.

Final Judgement:

I think it was a great movie, at least worth watching. It hasn't beaten T2 but will be remembered as a Terminator movie, as a part of the series.

Wolfie out.

Great Movie..i must say Arnold is made for this role..he look sooo machanical (thanks to his Austrian genes)...

Awesome action..Jonathan Mostow did a great job !

for the first time Arnold had some nice dilaogues...

The Game Responds:

*Oh come on people, a female villain was nice for a change. And atleast she didn't fall in love with Arnold in the movie or something crappily similar to that! She was as kick-ass as she could have been. The crane scene was actually funded by Arnold himself, as the director thought it would get out of budget if he shot the scene himself. Arnold paid 1.5 million dollars for that scene, and boy was it grand or what! People, That Is All.*

sucked big time

When does it come out in the UK? And why do we get all movies months after everywhere else?? I havn't even seen the trailer for this on TV yet. I may just get bored of the whole thing and not watch it, I doubt it'll live up to no 2 anyway.

It was quite entertaining I thought. Very fast paced from the get go. The drawback was, it was quite predictable. Not as good as T2, but the fx were still marvelous. The crane scene was prolly the highlight of the movie (just like the freeway scene in Matrix Reloaded). I have a feeling that there will be another one after this?
Shalwar Nicker came up with new catch phrases like "Talk to the hand".
Ive seen Matrix Reloaded a couple of times and will own the DVD when it comes out. T3, I wont go see in the theatre again. Once was enough. Maybe then the DVD comes out.

Great movie…extremely exciting to watch…ending was pretty good as well :k:

The crane scene was fantastic…and the best part was the movie had minimal use of CGI

The movie was really good and entertaining. Arnold was his usual robotic-self. His dialogues were really nice :k: for a change. The scene where he shuts himself down was really well shot. And obviuosly the crane scene was the highlight.
TX was really a high-tech beauty. I loved the way that the makers didnt go over board and make arnold high tech as well. He was shown as an out-dated terminator with similar capabilities as in the previuos movie and that worked really well.
Story, though with some holes, was very captivating and obviuosly there will be another sequel atleast when Connor is supposed to lead the Resistence
Bottom line: Great movie, a must see and nice addition to one’s DVD collection when it comes out

I felt the acting of the guy playing John Conner was substandard. In T2, the kid was rough around the edges, he had an attitude. Here, John Conner was just seemed like a nice, educated guy who had hit upon hard times.

PS Arnold payed for the crane scene himself because the producers thought it wouldn't be in budget.

Bakwas movie. Didn’t even get to see Kristanna Loken’s boobs. :frowning: Man, what a rip off :disgust:

*This, from a guy who went to the theaters to see Kristanna Loken's boobs. Really. People, That Is All.*

Still haven't watched it. can't get any time but all i know is that i'm going to watch it for sure. All the reviews are good(eventhough i don't care about them as long as i know that the movie is good) and the actions sequences look really good. I'm tired of CGI. Hollywood is abusing this technology.

Kristanna Loken's acting was superb. A beautiful face void of emtions. Great stuff. Arnold's stunts were exciting. Catherine Brewster was also nice. John Connors sucked big time. Overall I would give it a 8 out of 10 rating.

And those who missed on Loken's boobs could have taken some heart watching her bare-ass.

I agree with RT Wolf. It's a good movie, but not great like the first two in the series. Edward Furlong and James Cameron's absence is felt, and the comedy does feel unnecessary. Jonathan Mostow does put forth an effort and Arnold reprises his role well, but it really feels like a made-for-TV movie. I really hope that Cameron is back for the next one to finish what he started...

I loved the movie from start to end. 10/10 and its predecessors
