My dad and I have the archetypal male relationship. If I need to speak about an issue he is there for me. Otherwise chilled. Its always work related, career related or serious issues with my dad. My mom is there for me to act like a baby with.
We talk. Kinda. When we need to. Nothing emotional or sentimental. I however emulate my dad to the T. As an example. I was once on leave and got invited to a fancy shindig. I went out and shopped got myself what I needed on the spot and told my parents. My dad was saying there was no need to waste money and I should have just gone in jeans and a shirt. In the background I heard "he is your son. Have you ever dressed down for anything. He would dress like you would". Quite a few people say they see my dad in me which i take as a compliment.

My dad is very quiet in nature( which makes sense why i get quiet sometimes?), very forgiving and patient (unlike me). I have never heard him curse .When i say never i mean never. i swear more than him=/.
I have been his most fav and ladli kid (at least he says so). When i was a kid ,i used to cry to my dad and he would tell off older brother for teasing me . My older brother hated me for that.
When i put myself in his shoes i realize he has tried to give me the perfect life he never had.It may not be perfect for me but he gave me all what he never had.
He has the best maths skills ( hes the one who has taught me maths) .
i never share with my dad ,in fact i don't even do it with my mom .i even avoid asking for advice from him cuz he has a pessimistic approach where he tells me things aren't possible.I do wish he would get supportive sometime but meh its ok, i can live with it.i gots to do what i gots to do.
AND my daddy can cook too! and he likes folk music (its so traumatizing). and in so many years i have realized that hes reallllllllyyyyyy protective of me.sigh

My dad is the coolest Man I have known in my life. May Allah keep him healthy and give him a loooonggg healthy life. I cannot imagine a life without him.

My dad's pretty chilled, he was the disciplinarian when I was younger but now we're cool. When there's something to talk about, we'll talk, otherwise, our convos don't go beyond the "hi how are yous"
he goes off into tangents and makes REALLY long lectures and I get annoyed but one of these days, I'll start writing everything down...i hope I get a chance to soon iA

he is cool, we always have a friends like relationship. He advises but with friendly tone. He cook food on Fridays, help out with life issues ranging from education to marriage.

I was scared of my dad when I was growing up. Ahe was a great provider but I always felt scared of him. After I moved to the US for further studies, everything changed. Now we share the most beautiful relationship. We chat for hours, discuss politics, family, work, his past crushes, movies, fashion, total crap...emotions and pretty much everything under the sun. He trusts my advice and takes my opinion on serious matters.
I admire my dad for his balanced nature and positive outlook towards life. He is most definitely an example I'd like to follow. I pray for his good health and long life. May Allah keep our dads in his protection....and for those who've lost their fathers... May they rest in peace.

he is also my mother, he taught me countless things both abt life and religion.

I love my dad…he is very calm and chilled out, we are like friends..I can talk to him about anything…but I was very scared of him when I was a kid…if my mom wanted me to do something..she just says the word “DAD”, and I will do it! He is a man of his word…when he says he will do something..means he will do it. Though I feel sometimes that is also one of his bad qualities, coz he is very stubborn.
I am like my father a lot…my temper, my adventurous side - we both don’t mind taking risk, my patience…we would go jogging together, he taught me how to ride a bicyle, taught me to roller skate (we would roller skate in the living room and drive my mom nuts 
)
When I was little ppl would ask “Who do you love the most? ur mom or dad?”, (it is a very stupid Q to ask kids), I would without hesitation say “Papa”, even now I know I am more protective of my dad than I am of my mom…I don’t know why..maybe because I feel papa is sometimes very lonely because of some of the wrong decisions he made in life…when papa is wrong..I am the only one allowed to say he is wrong..if anyone (even my mom), says anything bad about papa I totally flip!!!
I remember when he would give me LONG LONG lectures…I would be standing and listening to him quietly…but I always felt I was going to faint…everything always started going black and I would start seeing little spots and the only thing I would think is “When is he going to be done with the lecture, coz am gonna fall now!!”
He is not perfect by any means…but he is my life!
(i’ll stop now coz I can go on about it - am sure we all can about our papas)
