Tell me!!

Would refuse getting married to someone because of there skin colour?!

What do you think of people who get married to people who have a lighter/darker/same skin colour?!

What do you think of people who refuse getting married to people because of thier sking colour?!

Why does some people judge people unfairly cos of there skin colour?!

Re: Tell me!!

its preferences right, like age, hieght, weight, career, social standing, education level.

I dont see any difference.

now the part of judging, that is a different story, but is based on ingrained societal attitudes. ppl judge others on how they speak, what they wear, what they drive, where they live, where they were educated, how much they were educated, their accent, their weight. so is it fair, not realy, is it one more thing among a host of others that ppl use to judge others..yes. Life is not fair

Re: Tell me!!

We all have our likings, dislikings and prejudices. What are you going to discuss next and where are you going to stop? How about short people, people with disabilities or people who have beards or wear hijaabs. Let everyone choose what suits them and not be judgemental.

Re: Tell me!!

1 who cares about skin colour?

2 I dont mind as long they keep it to themselves :p

3 they should be put against a wall and ******** down

4 because we are human after all. If everyone was good and polite and nice the world would have been very boring I guess. But pakistani are more weird anyway :D

Re: Tell me!!

. But pakistani are more weird anyway :D

I believe you have tested all the nationalities for their weirdness and as a result you have drawn this conclusion that " Pakistanis are more weird anyway".

Re: Tell me!!

hmmmmm.. kehna asan hain karna mushkil...

Re: Tell me!!

No, though I suppose I may have a subconscious preference.

I don’t care who they marry as long as they get along fine and make each other happy.

You can’t help to whom you’re attracted. However, I would be annoyed/offended if someone refused to give someone of a certain coloring “a chance.”

Stereotypes, biases, preconceived notions, etc etc. Isn’t it obvious in this day and age?

Re: Tell me!!

Well, it can be a total turn of, the very idea of getting married
to someone very dark.
It would be like day and night trying to match in daylight....rofl
But hey its a free world, I cant decide for others....
Tan skin is beautiful....

Re: Tell me!!

Tan skin IS beautiful, and there is nothing wrong with a darker desi being with someone with lighter skin color. I place more importance on features (in the looks dept), and most importantly on personality. This whole dark = ugly idea is so silly, because some of the most beautiful pakistani women are dark, and some of the ugliest are gori.

I need to find a picture of Saima and post it up...

Re: Tell me!!

Yes I did

Re: Tell me!!

Never!

its their preference ..I am no one to label anything

again its their choice

should ask someone who really does it runs after color than features. I agree with PCG that features matters most rather than skin color.

Re: Tell me!!

Levels of attraction vary from person to person. To someone sanwali haseena is as attractive as a gori one while some people just like to stick to gori rangat.

It is their preference and although that sole criteria is unfair but if they are asked to consider someone seriuosly whom they dont find physically attractive is wrong and two wrongs dont make one right. They are not going to have a platonic relationship so its better they are attracted to their potential spouses. Harsh, but true.

Re: Tell me!!

Even siblings can have different skin colour. I don't think people should look base their decisions on skin colour..skin colour is just one component that they need to look at. Personally I don't think that skin colour would matter to me...if the did well against my other yardsticks. I guess I attach greater importance to personality.

Re: Tell me!!

Re: Tell me!!

Yes

I have turned down all proposals from Goris:snooty:

Re: Tell me!!

**Green Skin will definetly be a turn off for me.............:D **

Re: Tell me!!

color choice on the basis of personal liking/disliking or preference is acceptable but pre-judging ppl on the basis of color is ridiculous.

Like I personally like “sanwala” color specially girls with “sanwala” color, so that’s my liking but I by no mean think that fair or black girls are less than sanwali girls by any mean
