Do you get calls from those desis claiming they are calling on behalf of dishnetwork? If you live abroad and are fond of cussing in punjabi, they are perfect for target practice...

i am on do not call list and have privacy manager so no telemarketers, except idiots from my own cedit card or airline or hotel loyalty programs

well i talk to them, i ask them how their day is going, while they’re saying but sir we’re … i dont let them finish, i just keep talking and talking and finally they get tired of it and hang up on me

put your number on the donot call,even your cell number…occasionally whenever I get a call…I do the typical desi accent and say..Me no Englisssh…Its funny…sometimes I have also done the “I am the maid” Bit…only once I burst out laughing…it was embarassing too…
And one time I said Si Habla Englisshh…and the person started talking to me in Spanish…then I went in the only other sentence I know which was “yo quero Taco Bell”!!!

calling us from some sort of morgage company even though we are on a do not call list

they are doing a job. Cut them some slack, i think they possibily want to hear your "angelic" (as gamma put it) voice even less than you want to hear theirs. In this situation I guess its lucky you.
