OK I am really bored because this section “Showbiz Pakistan” is almost dead. Cant see any new good threads. So came up with this idea that every week 3 Pakistani telefilms will be posted (which are available to watch online). People will watch it and will give their reviews on it. This way will get introduced to good telefilms.
Good idea. Here is a link to telefilm ‘Gurmukh Sigh ki Wasiyat’ based on short story of Saadat Hussain Manto. Aamina Shaikh acted well in this telefilm.
Saadat Hussain Manto, unlike many other writers, pointed out in his stories that partition caused loss of lives, property, etc on both sides of the border irrespective of the religion. Through this story, he depicted the relationship and harmony between people from different religions before partition and changing behaviors at the time of conflict. The writer supported general point of view that 'Achhe Burre log her qom main hote hain'
The last five minutes of the drama tells what was the will of a Sikh man for his Muslim friend and how it was accomplished by his next generation at the time of riots.
Bhaag amina bhaag *- a pretty good telefilm..inspired by the life of naseem ahmed the fastest woman in south asia. yasir nawaz directed it well.
