Khusro lived in Delhi during the period from late 13th to early 14th century. There was already a lot of conversion of Hindus to Islam due to influence of sufis like Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Bakhtiyar Kaki and Moinuddin Chishti (predecessors of Nizam u din Auliya, the peer of Khusro). BTW, Fariddun Ganj shakar was a sufi poet and his poetry was later included in Sikh's Garanth. :)
but that does not prove that Amir Khusro had no influence.
We do not have figures on conversions of Hindus into muslims either. How, when, or how many.
okay, but who knows how many were converted after and before Qawwali. Apart from that they are sufi orders who don't allow music, but still are equally popular.
Sufis are biddati and convert hindus by singing qawalis. Who’s hating who?
Everyone was Sufi before the Wahhabism started few centuries ago. First thing they did was removing of Imam Busairis’s qaseeda from the walls of masjid e Nabwi. Now they are destroying all the qaboor of awliya.
