The last time I remember, a 9 year old girl also got pregnant. wth?
Society is so corrupted nowadays its not even funny anymore. My mom always says: “this umreeki culture iz verry bad cultuure. girls are mothers, and young boys are fathers, etc.”
I know my mom is being insensitive about this. Its not just American culture who DON’T HAVE morals, mom. There are teenage girls everywhere who don’t know what they’re doing… and they jump right ahead without thinking about it first. Then they struggle with the baby inside their stomachs throughout their life, and then they KILL the baby. A disgrace towards humanity. (i’m all against abortion)
This is NOT a sex after marriage topic. Its solely about teenage pregnancy, though abstinence does seem to apply here.
its such a shame… even though teenage pregnancy can happen anywhere, i never heard of desi girls getting pregnant before they get married. have you?
To much interaction of boys and girls which by the way is considered to be the "roshan khiyali". When elder object to any such thing they normally get a reply
"oh mama its not your age... unless I meet with him/her and spend some time with him/her, how can i find out if he/she is compatible"
In the end they figure out that they are not only compatible but version 2.0 is already on its way..
I've heard of two such cases, though I didn't know either of them.
Wow, that must suck.
To add on: I know most Muslim and Hindu parents would DEFINITELY not let their children have sex before marriage due to religious beliefs. However, those kids just go ahead and do it without thinking what damage it may cause to their psychological and social life.

In one case, the girl aborted the baby to cover it up. In the other one, girl got disowned by her family, married the guy with the blessings of his family, only to later find out that it wasn't his baby.

I just can't stand the idea of killing a baby. Mothers who aren't dumbasses wouldn't have sex in the first place: even by any birth control of any sort if they don't want a baby. And @ the girl being disowned: well, I always thought that punishment WAS a bit harsh, and its a sin but they should have supported her...and now if she knows that it isn't her baby, well she's screwed and scarred for life.

The baby in the second case was the baby of the girl. However, the father wasn't the guy whose baby they thought it was and who married her.
There are some places in the UK where there are more desi girls having abortions than white girls.. how sad is that?? Obviously, it's easier for a non-desi to go ahead and have a baby if she gets pregnant without fearing she might get beaten up or thrown out. Too many ppl forget it takes two to get a girl pregnant, in our societies we always blame the girl :(

That's so true and it pisses me off. But in a society like the UK/US/anywhere in Europe, these girls know that sex = preggers. So really, they are at fault too. In Pakistan, sure they know what it is, but not to the extent that we do in English culture.
Going off topic here, it also pisses me off when a girl gets blamed if she is raped....There was a case here about a mentally challenged girl that got raped by some sport team, and half the town decided the she deserved it even though she was MENTALLY CHALLENGED!!! Sickosss need to shot and bleed to death like the animals they are....
English brainwashing, music videos, Bollywood films (have you seen Aasiq Banaya Appne????), and watching American shows.
that is half the story. sometimes people themselves are to blame and not the outside factors such as media. sex, being a primal instinct, with hormones and inability to control desire leads to teen desi pregnancy, watching katrina kaif get it on with rampal in a cheesy romance movie... not so much.
You know vaaz funny Stuck up on the walls of every single public toilet in Ireland is a poster either about breast cancer or about this really really sad looking girl with the words “unplanned pregnancy is not the end of the world … call xyz now!”
Yyyyeah… its only encouraging teenage pregnancy as far as I can see… girls know there’s someone out there to sympathise with them… there’s help.. there’s grants and all kinds of support… and parents don’t care… sooo why should they be scared / warned, remind me again?
I’d like to see a poster saying something like, “Don’t do it u dope! HIV!!! Diapers!!!”

That’s another thing that adds to it. Instead of abstinance, they teach safe sex, so it’s like “Oooooo, what’re they gettin so worked up about? I should find a guy to get it on with!” and nine months later comes baby…
Yea it is a primal instinct but the media glamorizes the idea soooo much that it’s like, “We NEED to do that!”

PS: now stone me to death for this :)
You're taking it to an extreme...sometimes no interaction with men/boys can cause defiance
I have heard of only one such case and in her case...she kept having abortion after abortion. Finally parents took her to Pakistan and got her married to a really nice guy...now she has three boys Mashallah and is happily married.
I dont personally know any woman who has dared to deliver the child and then keep him/her.
