Lahore, The PCB is planning to hold a triangular cricket series involving India and Australia sometime in September, just before the Champions Trophy tournament in India, a Board official said.
“A triangular series could take place in Pakistan in September involving India, Pakistan and Australia. We are talking with Indian and Australian cricket boards but the tournament has not been finalised. It all depends on the feasibility of dates considering Pakistan’s tight international schedule,” The News quoted PCB Director Saleem Altaf as saying.
Altaf said that the Pakistan team’s tight international itinerary was the only hitch in finalising the itinerary. “It’s to be looked into from a practical point of view. Pakistan is returning from England on September 12 and will immediately play two Tests against Zimbabwe in the split home series,” he added.
If the triangular series among the India, Pakistan and Australian teams eventually takes place, it will be tightly placed between Pakistan’s tour of England and the 10-team Champions Trophy (October 7-November 5) with the final at Mumbai, even as the Indian team is relatively more comfortably placed in that period, the paper said.

One day cricket is anyone's bet. On its day any team can beat any other team, so a tri-series involving Pak, India and Australia looks promising. Though it will be extremely heart-breaking to lose at home.

Waise...with the amount of cricket these days...individual matches/series seem to have lost their recall value....I remember the 80s when a certain performance or a match would be itched in memory for a long time...now days an overdose of Cricket is starting to cause too much clutter in the mind.

No..We dont overestimate myself. I have said this long before. Test series will be close . ODI series one sided. I have no proble accepting that PAK has better ODI team.

im tired of watching india pakistan, plz after this series Inshallah when we win, indian govt should again ban its cricket team from playing pakistan, because the infiltration has not stopped, that way at the wc we will have a cracking match!

that would be the ultimate! i remember watching clips of wasim destroying indian batting there, im not sure about the entire series but i just seen that! i would love to see that match up 2day aus fast bowlers good batsmen, pakistani fast bowlers against indian batting!

that would be awesome --- but it seems like pak is the venue... it should still be exciting cricket... three top teams in a tri series... STREAMERS should release their IPO now
