What about the other fast bowlers besides the one?
If I am not mistaken the other fast bowlers played the last 10 ODI against India where Pakistan won 8 matches and kicked ass big time.

its sad that pakistani think that naved ul hasan rana and mohamad sami can replace wasim, waqar or imran. They have lost taste in quality. No doubt in my mind about shohaib but sami, rana 
. Forget about wasim, waqar etc , how can you even compare them with aussies pace trio.

again he is not in same league as shohaib ..... comparision ends there. he is a good bowler with brain. But there are good bowlers like him in most of the teams ...... e.g. pathan.

Pakistan was suffering during a transition phase when wasim and waqar left. Slowly we are getting better. Obviously no one is matching this bowling squad with wasim, waqar and imran but atleast they can kick some a$$.
By the way what do you suggest?
what should we do?
Force sami, rana and others to take early retirement from cricket and bring back wasim waqar and imran.

Shastri without Cheetan 'full toss' Sharma will feel lonely.
I think Shastri and Gavaskar had a better average versus Pak than most other Indian batsmen of the era.

India and Pakistan plan lucrative tri-series
Pakistan, India and Australia are set to play a triangular series in India during September, ahead of the Champions Trophy. The tournament, which would be a lucrative money-spinner involving three of the leading teams in the world, is expected to take place between September 12 and October 5.
The one sticking point had been that Pakistan were scheduled to host Zimbabwe in late September, but yesterday’s announcement that Zimbabwe had suspended themselves from Test cricket clears the way for the tournament. “That hurdle has now gone,” confirmed the chairman of the PCB, Shahrayar Khan.
“It is always sad to lose a Test nation but there was a lot of turmoil in their cricket,” the BCCI official, Raj Singh Dungarpur, told the BBC. “Zimbabwe should now concentrate on improving their standard by playing against non-Test nations like Kenya and return next year a competitive side.”
India has recently stated its desire to arrange more series outside of the ICC Future Tours Programme in order to maximise its income. Matches against the likes of Australia and Pakistan are guaranteed to rake in big money from sponsors and television rights.

Wasn't the original intent to have this tri-series in Pakistan? Seems now India is the host. Might is right and money talks and other such choice words come to mind.

Pakistan should decline and stick to its icc schedule in prep for the ICC trophy
