Is there material in Pakistani text books that addresses the Holocaust?
Do they teach kids about what Hitler did to the Jews?

I don’t remember anything about it when I used to be taught history in school there, our Mashrat-e-aloom/Social studies/History subject etc was more focused on highlighting wars against India, not sure about now.

No, there is nothing specific about Holocaust in Pakistani texts. They teach WWII in context of independence movement of Pakistan.

The course books are same from last few decades, full of twisted facts and distorted history. There are no mentions of international events in our books.

Academic “Muaasharti aloom” had some text regarding WWI and how the caliphate was broken and the part of muslim leaders from sub-continent to protect the caliphate.

WWII has been rarely discussed (at least i don’t remember) ..

^ I think he’s referring to the history of slavery, the Civil War between the North states and Southern states in America (Abraham Lincoln’s time) and/or civil rights of the 1960’s

What are you guys smoking. Holocaust is taught in schools. Most of the history, that I was taught, was European starting from around 1500. Kids are taught about both world wars, the holocaust, Stalin and all other major stuff.

Born and bred in Pakistan. Studied PAKISTANI syllabus till college.

Mashallah. I was born and raised in PAKISTAN too and I don’t remember anything about any Holocaust mentions where I studied, though as it was a couple of decades ago maybe my memory’s slipped.

I mean, the average Pakistani kid finishes school at 15-16 so add 20 it and Voilà! You’re 35-36 :lifey: Much older than me.
