Lt Gen (Retd) Tauqir Zia, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has announced his resignation. His resignation has been accepted by the patron of the board, Pervez Musharraf. The resignation came in the wake of a dispute over television rights between Pakistan Television (PTV) and GEO TV, a Dubai-based company.
first time I have seen some Pakistani top level official taking responsibility and resigning...
by the way I heard it long time back that we wanted to Resign form this Job, but Mussaraf asked him to continue.. :)
how good is this news for Pakistani Cricket? Just qrius..
what is the procedure as to who is going to be the next chairman? or it just works on the whims and fancies of the patron?

I think Musharraf wants him to stay as head of the accountability board. However, if he does become head of PCB, KK's voice will be heard at the cricket headquarters. :)
Our information minister should have resigned due to the tussle b/w Geo and PTV. The only other person that should have gone was Amir Sohail, but I sincerely hope that whoever is next kill kick Amir's butt at the very next opportunity.
