Tattoo

When a guy has a tattoo, is that something that would be a dealbreaker? Would it make you judge the guy as having a dodgy past or present?

Re: Tattoo

at an age when youngsters get a tattoo, that's just a phase in life but if he/she is 30+ and gets a tattoo then i would worry!

Re: Tattoo

^Agree..

I had one done in my teens.. but I wouldn't consider it now I'm older and wiser..

I don't think it's an indicator of a dodgy past.. I think a lot of people have them done for personal reasons and obviously they sometimes carry a meaning (ex for a deceased friend or relative)

I'm not a fan of large or visible tattoos tho and a tattoo to do with an ex wouldn't be something I'd tolerate..

Re: Tattoo

Is it considered acceptable in the UK? I feel like Europe is more liberal than America.

A tattoo in America --> reflects very poorly on your socializations and behaviors and values. Means you're probably a trouble maker.

Re: Tattoo

I find Tattoos to be repulsive so it would be a definite NO for me unless it was placed somewhere I wouldn't have to see at all.

Re: Tattoo

^ We are talking about a potential husband here....

It's a matter of concern if the tattoo says Jamila while your name is Shakila

Re: Tattoo

Yah I do know but there still can be some places I guess. Just because he's my husband doesn't mean I'm compelled to look at every cm of his body.

^ The place in his body you dont want to see is also the same place he probably does not want the tattoo guy to see.

Re: Tattoo

not really.

Re: Tattoo

Yup agree with this. People in the corporate world have tattoos, does that make all of them have poor socialization, behavior and values? I don't think so.

Re: Tattoo

Can men have tramp stamps? That doesn't reflect poorly right? :(

Re: Tattoo

..it's a bit late to ask that, no?

Re: Tattoo

Well my fraand has this question. I'm jus askin 4 mai fraand.

Re: Tattoo

do you like this friend? is he your special friend? :halo:

Re: Tattoo

Very special

But he is kind of confused. Might be a she. Can’t always tell. :frowning:

Re: Tattoo

Depends. If he got it at a young age then I would just think he went through a stage. As long as its not a name of an ex :p.

My husband went through this stupid phase of wanting one before we were even engaged. Thank The Lord he got over it and never got it lol.

It’s a matter of even bigger concern if the tattoo says Jamil while his name is Shakil

Re: Tattoo

^ This. I know plenty of professionals in the corporate world and even doctors/lawyers who have tattoos. I would not base my decision based on this alone.

Re: Tattoo

yes its a dealbreaker for me.
