My husband used to have a tattoo.....it was done before we met and he was going through his rebellious teenage phase. It's been lasered off now though, apparantelt getting it removed hurt heaps more than getting the initial tattoo. Serves him right.

I’ve heard tattoos are haram. Yet I’vr seen ppl with “allah” tattooed on their bodies. My bro has a tattoo of the star and crescent on his back

Some weird celtic symbol, but had it removed for religious reasons.
Are henna tattoos also haram? They aren't permanant but still last a few years so I'm just wondering whether they're permitted or not?

i dont know about henna tattoos but making designs on hands with henna is not haram. it only lasts couple days also Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) used to put henna in his hair.

I'm not talking about the type of henna....that's just painted onto the surface of the skin. Henna tattoos are tattoo exactly as per a normal tattoo with a gun but uses a henna dye intead of the permanant dyes. It's still tattooed into the skin though and they're said to last up to 5 years.

Yes, but I'm talking about the ones injected into the skin with a tattoo gun......not the swirly flowery designs that you do with a henna cone at Eid.

cant determine if its haram or halal .. but as far i know its MAKROO for sure since it hurts one for no worthy reason !

I have a small superman emblem on my left shoulder, about the size of a quarter. I really dont see what the big deal is with tattoos.
