Yamahas question was whether Kashmir can be divided on the basis of religion. The simple answere to that question is no, as there isn't a single district in Kashmir that has a Hindu majority.
Well, there were surely pockets of Hindu majority areas in different parts of kashmir. Just because, they are not in majority in a particular district does not mean that they should not get their homeland.
Kashmiri muslims can always or will have to vacate a district or two for their brothers.
You cannot kick out the indeginous people from their own land/country just coz they are less in number. Kashmiri muslims have history of just few hundred years in Kashmir, whereas pandits have been living there more than thousands of years.

Are you saying that Kashmiris Muslims are not indigenous. Where's your evidence for that. Their most common surname is Bhatt or Butt, which indicates Sarsut Brahmin ancestry. Other surnames include Lone, from Loniya meaning salt merchants, Wyne from Vania or Bania. I don't see any Iranian or Malaysians in Kashmir. There are a small number of Kashmiris of Afghan ancestry, but most Kashmiri Muslims are just as indigenous as Hindus. And why should they vacate land where they have lived for thousands of years to make way for your Panun Kashmir.

This is perhaps the basic mistake that every Pakistani makes ... the dispute is not over Kashmir ..... it is over the princely state of Jammu & Kashmir and that needs to be resolved.

India’s stand on Kashmir is very clear … Jammu & Kashmir is part of India !!! It is Pakistan that swears by UN resolutions and hypocritcally it is the one that has taken no step for demilitirization … the very foundation of holding a plebiscite. So next time you raise the UN resolution ask yourself this … why isn’t the Pakistan government vacating the areas that are under its control as it required in UNCIP resolutions.
Perhaps you did not know this but even the kashmiri’s want UNCIP resolutions to be implemented … and you know what it says there .. Pakistan army has to COMPLETELY vacate the areas it is occupying in Jammu & Kashmir

Your argument doesn't make any sense as the two situations are not analogous.
Pakistan was created from contiguous Muslim majority districts in Northwestern and Eastern British India. Hindu/Sikh majority districts were not vacated to make way for it. Also while Pakistan was created as a Muslim homeland of sorts, it clearly was not created for all the Muslims of the Subcontinent - in fact, with the exception of refugees fleeing East Punjab and Muslim League officials, immigration into Pakistan was strongly discouraged. Jinnah actively encouraged Muslims left behind in India to stay put and claim their rights as Indian citizens.
On the other hand, Kashmir is an ethnonationalist issue (where almost all people of this ethnicity happen to be Muslim), rather than a religious one. Also, as others have already pointed out, there isn't a single tehsil, let alone an actual district, in the Kashmir Valley that isnt over 90% Muslim. Even before the Pandits left, their population was highest in Srinagar - and even there, they didn't account for more than 10% or 12% of the population. Creating a Panun Kashmir would literally require ethnically cleansing over 90% of the population of any given area in the Kashmir Valley. Moreover, even if we ignore that fact, you also have to realize that according to the 1981 census - well before any migration had occured - Hindus accounted for only 4% of the population of the Kashmir Valley. Logically, they would only be entitled to 4% of the Valley's land - 600 sq kms, which means that this ethically cleansed Hindu state would be 1/6 of the size of Goa. It doesn't make much sense when a). actual Kashmiri Pandits should have every right to settle in any Kashmiri state, and b). should they opt to leave Kashmir, there's no dearth of Hindu majority areas in Jammu.
there is no question or need for dividing Kashmir, whether from India or within. Certainly not based on any desires from Pakistanis - it is well known fact that Pakistanis covet Kashmir and have failed in all attempts over the past 60+ years. The only thing that has resulted from their attempts is killing of innocent people on both sides of the border and strengthening of the terrorist monster that is consuming Pakistan from inside.
