To all the reactionary victimizing losers on here, denying a woman the right to wear a niqaab is not bigotry. For lots of folks they are simply at unease with talking to someone in a niqaab. A lot of communication is not with your voice but with facial expressions as well as extremities. I don't view those people as bigots nor would trying to help those people out be legitimizing bigotry.
The niqab/burka is simply an excuse for these West-hating bigots to give their host society the middle finger, nothing more. Why come here if you don't like it here? Only ones who complain about how immoral the West is are often Muslim immigrants, and I say this as a Muslim immigrant myself.
Having lived in Canada for a long time now and having women in the family who wear niqaab and burqa, I can say from experience that most people here don't have any problem with it. You won't find most people complaining as much as Muslims such as yourself. Locals don't care for the most part. You'll run into morons here and there, but most really don't care as long as you're not harming them.
Many people ask my wife about it and then appreciate what she does. I don't see it as giving anyone the finger and neither do those who wear it.
