Talking about security...

… who’da thought Boeing’s getting into the smartphone business.

So the US security and defense folks want a solid phone with cutting edge features that deliver the utmost in security. (Funny they steal our stuff but want security for themselves, talk about double standards ) so Boeing, comes up with a solution:

Security + Modularity = Productivity

And voila, we have the Boeing Black. Here’s the cool part…you mess with it and it self destructs :D! Oh man, it’s so Mission Impossible-ish.

Here’s the details:

Didn’t blackberry had amazing security?

Re: Talking about security...

It didn't self destruct.
And it was such a boring phone.

Re: Talking about security...

The last thing they need is something that's not boring in there work. Don't want people playing Candy Crush on there phones.
Android sucks at security so...

Re: Talking about security...

How does Android suck at security? What did it do to you?

Re: Talking about security...

Fragmentation, spam apps in Google Play and the damn ads. khad ho gai.

Re: Talking about security…

For the Spam Apps, do your research on the developers. It’s like teaching your kids the philosophy of “the company you keep.” For the ads, how many times do I need to say, root your phone Ethan .

I don’t know much about this fragmentation business. Please enlighten.

Re: Talking about security...

What's up with rooting the phone obsession?
Google Play is supposed to be a clean and safe place to download from. The last thing in my mind should be about the credibility of the developers.
Fragmentation is too many devices, OS versions and other top layers. makes it hard to develop apps.

Re: Talking about security...

Well, it's not an obsession (yet) but ever since I've been using a rooted phone I realize I have so much more control over it. And it's only natural to promote something you like or enjoy... You don't HAVE to root your phone but it can solve a lot of the problems we encounter daily on our regular mobile devices.

Re: Talking about security...

Even if running a bloated free version? AKA pure android (nexus)
P.S me too scared to root my phone and the custom ROMs suck.

Re: Talking about security...

I have never rooted a Nexus though I'm planning to do it this weekend. Only done the Galaxies. I know how you feel. It took me a long time before I was able to get myself to do it. Tofi is a MasterRooter (© Niksik 2014), like the Jedis who are fearless and sense the dark side. You should consult him if you need the force. That's what I did. I'm still a padawan though. :)

Re: Talking about security…

MasterRooter :meeno: Sue me
Is their full username BabaTofi? I think I may have seen them around here but I’m not really sure. I guess they don’t post much.

Re: Talking about security…

Yes. And please don’t make fun of my copyrighted terminology :snooty: You need to stick around. There’s a lot of talent around here.

Re: Talking about security...

I'll duct tape myself here. Are there any gamers here?

Re: Talking about security...

Recently I developed an app for Nexus and client wants to run it on Samsung device ... and it broke ... WTH ... sorry just a tangent

Re: Talking about security...

You developed an app? Cool! What do you mean it broke?

Re: Talking about security...

They pay me to do it . I used PhoneGap for it and when I run it in Samsung it's UI is all messed up. I believe it's not supporting some CSS rules.

Re: Talking about security...

yep...cause they think all the android devices are same......just like all the browsers are the same....:)

Re: Talking about security...

PhoneGap seems cool. Will try it sometime. I messed with making Android apps in the past. Will have to dive into it again.

Re: Talking about security...

self destructs eh
