For us brainwashed haters of Asma Jahangir, you should also know why we are against her way of thinking…
Here is one of the many articles for you to read and get brainwashed as well ![]()
Re: Talism + who dun it now?
aray bhai..Anwaar qureshi…there is now-a-days…fever of “independency of women” which was discussed in surgical manner in the thread **“but we have ruined our generations…”…**so its the natural outcome of it…
whatever you post…some “champions of Women rights” will again not agree with you…so its useless to debate with them…do you agree with me ..![]()
Re: Talism + who dun it now?
I wouldn't say i hate her. i just dont find her to be a likeable personality. At times she raises valid issues and at others she appears to be milking them. Perhaps one of the reason why women in Pak are in ditch is because of people like her.
Re: Talism + who dun it now?
Thank you ![]()
Re: Talism + who dun it now?
granted that perhaps, Asma Jehangir is not really the epitome of a saintly woman, monetarily or politically. yet, how many of you can raise voice for women and their misery in domestic violence and humiliation?
again, as i said earlier, may be her methods are stark, yet her motive to make human rights and women rights issues noted is not a sin.
as for the slogan. cheap and bad taste is not foreign to the political lobbying. i will even say, that if the slogan was raised, it is wrong.
yet, and finally, it does not make the fact disappear that women rights is a huge issue in Pakistani society. unless you do not get personally affected by it, you may not realize.

We dont have to tell you anything about what we have done or havent done for women rights :). But just wondering what have you done? You have attended a meeting of some woman who clearly has a double agenda and now you think you know enough about her? Preaching like crazy without knowing jack? :D None of us said that what she s doing is wrong or a sin, but her purpose is NOT to HELP women but to increase her bank balance. Besides that there are plenty of other ways to help women. And trust me if I say, I can know :D First read some more into her and then come back for an arguement :)
PCG: Grow up. You arent talking like a feminst but more like a feminazi and feminazi belong in jail :biggthumb

Re: Talism + who dun it now?
thanks, dutch_paki.
your point well taken.
in order to understand this what i am saying, you first need to separate the bias against Asma from the bias against women rights violations and ill practices, as a serious issue.
in helping women counter parts, men and women will be able to change the unjust trend across times, genders, and thinking or actions which devalue women as human beings, through a mass effort, where in each one of us is liable to ensure that we are not deceptive in our obvious or hidden motives for helping women who are disadvantaged by the social flaw of double standards.
people happily live their double standard.
unless it happens with women in men’s lives (who do care really about the ethical responsibility to safe guard women's rights), things will not change, regardless of an Asma being there or not.
when women's lives and peace is taken hostage by men or other women, the real loss is to these women and men, in reality.
people may never fully understand that it is in itself a wrong act that you keep silent on someone being done wrong.
women rights concerns are on many levels, for the whole society which is the harder thing to do, or do think for a minute, why do people offer 'benevolent help' with an understanding in their mind that 'i am the man, the woman is weak, so helping is influential, so there is no harm in doing it.'
in this case, help is not help. it is exploitation of someone's undue hardship.
hope is that you get this point.
