Mr Bilawal I appreciate your open challenge to Taliban (on internet and through your speeches), but who’s going to tackle the growing influence of Taliban in the city your party is controlling?
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
Yea thanks to JI?
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
maybe Taliban’s friend from PTI and JI can “negotiate” with them, after all negotiation is the only way out even though these animals are creating mayhem while “negotiations” are ongoing. Sympathise with animals and pigs and this is what you get.

No I think Bilawals tweets can do the trick...taliban are trembling.

Any steps the party has taken so far to counter this? I know at the end it would be X, Y, Z's problem and not the party ruling the province.
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
Bilawal can start by using law enforcers under his provincial government to go after Taliban instead of going after the political opponents.
Can Bilawal do that? If he can't then his tweets are appreciated but they do nothing.
Re: Talibanization of Karachi

and IK the leader tactics are working wonderfully ...
His downfall is more speedier then I thought remind me of Asghar Khan.
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
I think we Waite little more Syed
APC go for a talks under process let see what come out, in case talks fails than I think their is a masive operation start not only in FATA but in cities too and I'm afraid this time Gehun ke sath Kai Kuch pissa jae ga. It's that not in recent days IK statements little in favor of army too? trying to save his neck for alternate situation.

I agree...he was not an issue 3 years back and might not be one 3 years down the track...
for a reminder the country has been destroyed by the two parties which were here during the past four decades and might remain in the coming decades...maybe something for Pakistanis to rejoice.
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
Altaf is many bad things. But I believe that we should acknowledge if someone does something good. Altaf and MQM were saying 5+ years ago that there is Talibanization going on the city. But nobody listened, including Bilawal's party members. And ANP was looking at the usual ethnic angle, tolerating terrorists among them.
Now the whole world is talking about Talibanization of Karachi. PPP leader (Benazir)almost got eliminated in the city and ANP has been thrown out from all Pashtun dominated areas in the city.
Yet Bilawal's party is still not taking enough actions against Taliban in the city. They killed the most successful police officer, continue to kill common policemen daily ... but Bilawal's target is MQM more than Taliban.
Yes, to him having festivities in Moenjodaro is more important than catching culprits terrorizing the city.
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
^ you mean only last hope we have is JIPTi ? Syed

I agree with you, when AH was saying this 6 years back people used to laugh at him. PPP instead of countering the threat started arming their own people to further muddy the waters..
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
TTP form courts in Karachi, they are also collecting taxes…TTPJIPTI baaz nahin aati… :smack:

No one takes that joker seriously but IK is not far behind. His pro Taliban stance has disgusted me.

You are right in your disgust...maybe we should express as much disgust on the policy makers who have brought upon us this menace as well.
Imran Khan's stance may be wrong, and negotiations might not work. But can any one force the army to stop differentiating between militants? Unless that happens neither negotiations nor selective operations will achieve anything. Operations so far have only affected the ordinary people, the command and control is still alive and kicking. In fact the issue has deteriorated over the years.

agreed, but don't you think IK have to change a bit his ...... logic. I mean most of us were looking at him kind a saviour, but yeh ...
well at least he wasn't the only hope. screw him and his stance on terrorism.

we can discuss IK's views on terrorism, but the way whole narrative has been built around him being a 'superman' who is stopping the state from carrying out an operation is laughable. I do not support his views on terrorism, on the other hand the way media has trialed him during the past few months is strange. I some how feel that the army is using his stance on terrorism to justify their inaction. Imran Khan is another scapegoat like many civilians before him...
Re: Talibanization of Karachi
^ dude, making him punching bag could be wrong. If we were talking about 3 years ago.
He is a national level leader 2nd to NS, people were expecting some hope & courage from him. which he seems to have none.
he don't wanna condemn fine, he don't wanna take a stand on terrorism fine. but when your statements are openly questioning the moral of security forces, that's a problem.
so yeh screw him.

don't give the army reason to make you scapegoat. This is not a Pakistan of 80s & 90s. No one is stopping him from speaking up. Well he better not speak up, coz another blunder like 40% chance will happen.
