Re: Talibanization of Karachi: Still don't believe it?
Its probably because MQM claimed to be champion of a community but that does not necessarily mean Urdu-speaking=MQM.
Whatever the reason, the point I made and which you acknowledge here, is that there are many people who abuse urdu speaking people in the guise of abusing MQM.

Not interested. Please don't waste yours and mine time
It is good that you are not interested because I don't want to waste any further of my time on a post which was nothing argument for the sake of argument.
talibanization of karachi is a reality, unfortunately. And no matter how much people despise MQM, it was MQM which first raised the flag. everyone ridiculed it at that time but now everyone agrees that the warning was for real. And it was ignored.

But then again, why did MQM remain part of the government for 5 years when it was evident that the provincial government was doing nothing to curb the menace?

I have my opinion just like you have yours. But neither you nor I are MQM insiders, so we dont know their opinion ... Which is actually what counts.
still, if you want my opinion then I would request YOUR opinion first.

My opinion is that voicing concern without taking any followup action does not hold any weight. MQM was part of the government, they should have forced the government to take corrective actions then. Now frankly I dont think anything can happen, firstly the population of the city is to big, not easy to conduct operations plus the army already has its hands full in Balochistan and KP/Fata.

no, I am not admitting anything, you are the one who actually equate MQM with Urdu speaking people, I disagree, MQM is a criminal mafia.
