Everyone is aware that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been waging Jihad and working tirelessly to bring an end to the invasion of Afghanistan and establish in it an independent Islamic government and has always utilized every legitimate method to achieve this goal.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has both military as well as political objectives which are confined to Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate does not wish to harm other countries from its soil and neither will it allow others use Afghan soil to pose a threat to the security of other nations! The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants to have cordial relations on basis of mutual respect with all the countries of the world including its neighbors and desires security for its nation as well as security and justice on international level.

Undoubtedly the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers it its religious and national obligation to free its country from occupation and has used every legitimate method for this goal which it will keep on doing in the future. Similarly, it considers the struggle of every oppressed nation working for their due rights and independence to be their legitimate right because every nation deserves to secure freedom from imperialism and attain their rights.

It is due to these objectives that the Islamic Emirate considered it necessary to open a political office in the Islamic country of Qatar for the following reasons:

1.To talk and improve relations with the international community through mutual understanding.
2. To back such a political and peaceful solution which ends the occupation of Afghanistan, establishes an independent Islamic government and brings true security which is the demand and genuine aspiration of the entire nation.
3.To have meetings with Afghans in due appropriate time.
4.To establish contact with the United Nations, international and regional organizations and non-governmental institutions.
5.To give political statements to the media on the ongoing political situation.

We also thank the government of Qatar and its Emir ‘Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’ to have agreed with inaugurating the political office of Islamic Emirate and to have made everything easy in this regard.

who are you calling mushrikeen?

this is a flag of khawarij mufsideen, enemies of Islam. Obviously Afghans are angry at Khawarij hijacking islam’s name.

Taliban’s Qatar office stokes Karzai’s ire - Features - Al Jazeera English
Afghan government is angry the Taliban raised their flag and vowed to continue fighting after opening their Doha centre.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Taliban aside, I really doubt the sanity of kharzai anymore! His rants everyday are becoming desperate and schizophrenic after each passing day.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Yesterday on the 21/06/2013, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper published a report regarding the use of the name and flag of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on its political office in Qatar. The said report quotes the U.S Secretary of State John Kerry as saying that they had signed an agreement with the leaders of Islamic Emirate regarding the use of flag and name ‘Political office of The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ on their political office while in reality, no such agreement has been signed nor does such an agreement exist although documents have been exchanged between the Islamic Emirate and the Qatari government regarding conditions of the office. The raising of the flag and the use of the name of Islamic Emirate were done with the agreement of the Qatari government. The statement which states that by using the name and raising the flag, the Islamic Emirate somehow violated an agreement, then this allegation is completely false while the discord which arose due to panic by the Kabul administration is not related to the Islamic Emirate. ** ***The spokesman of political office of Islamic Emirate in Qatar****Dr. Muhammad Naeem***

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

^ The united states has been humiliated and defeated by the rag tag fighters of afghanistan this is great moment in history. Instead you guys arguing over a flag?

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Americans never come anywhere to stay forever. They run away as soon as American public lose interest. This is what is happening here as well.
America cares less about Taliban and its khariji ideology. It supports similarly pathetic regimes like Saudis. So no matter what Taliban do in Afghanistan, America has no issue. Only problem it has is that Taliban stop attacking American interests.
This is what these negotiations are about. Americans are not defeated. They are just not interested anymore.
They want to get assurance from Taliban to stop annoying them, and then they want to leave, and focus somewhere else.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

What kind of victory is this? There are chances that taleban might come to power after US withdrawal, even as we speak almost all of Eastern Afghanistan is in their control.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

No. It is not a victory for Americans. But it is not a defeat either. It is just that Americans want to leave their sh** behind to be cleaned by Afghans (and Pakistanis).
Taliban is our problem. It is not America's. So why should they fight OUR war?! (The irony of saying this is not lost on me.)

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

12 years the yankees have been spending so called fighting and spending hundreds of billions of dollars trying to contain afghanistan and they have failed.

the yanks got spanked and biggest humiliation since veitnam, face reality in stead of your madeup hollywood dream!

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Don't forget that most of that time those yankees were fighting wars for Israel in Iraq. But they still put a government of their choice in Afghanistan and trained the security forces. Today there are less people killed in Afghanistan than are killed in Pakistan by extremists. Well, if not more than at least the number is comparable. So what kind of victory is that for extremists?
A defeat for those yanks would be if they leave Afghanistan without getting guarantees from Taliban to stop attacking their interests. If Taliban agree to this condition then it will clearly be an American victory ... and WE will have to pay for this compromise.

So our BEST CHANCE to fight Talibanic khariji menace is to KEEP THE US ENGAGED. Make them believe it is THEIR war. Because if they stop participating in this war then we will be left to fight it ALL ALONE. There would be no other country in the world supporting us against the khariji army. No Russia. No China. No Saudi. No Europe.

--

Besides, I don't understand why you are cheering for Taliban anyway? Why making those khariji maniacs a hero?

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Why do you always assume everyone is on YOUR side? lol, joke of the decade. Majority of Pakistanis are on the side of Afghan Taliban. You can move to Iran if that makes you happy.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

interesting turn of the events.... as someone said "You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else" but i doubt they will do exactly the right thing, they will keep making mistakes trying to make their public believe that they have the upper hand in these talks and scores of more men will be killed trying that. while the situation is entirely different, its clearly Afghan Taliban who have upper hand here.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

I hear the good Taliban attacked green zone today - The most secured zone in A-Stan... Gives you an idea of not so secured zones...

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

Why do you have to be personal? Well you can move to Talibanic kharijistan, if you really love those kharijis. My audience is not you and people who support kharijis. You obviously would like Afghanistan and Pakistan to be subjugated to khariji rule.

and what made you think Americans are on MY side? Of course they are on Zionist Wahhabi side. Their best friends are Israelis and saudi wahhabistan.

it is interesting how some events take out the closet Taliban. "Ooh, I don't support Taliban but..."

it is these people who are enemies of people of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Majority of Pakistanis are on the side of Afghan Taliban.
this is none of anyone's business. Only afghans can decide whose side they are.
pakistan need to focus on improving lives of its own people.

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

And a Taliban victory over Afghanistan and Pakistan would be a dream finally coming true. Isn't it?

Re: Taliban open office in Qatar

While many Pakistanis are rejoicing at the idea of the ‘victory’ of Taliban munafiqeen over Muslims, the conditions put forward by Americans show that if Taliban accept them it will be the sign of their defeat.

BBC News - US and Taliban to open direct peace talks in Qatar
However, the talks are on condition that the Taliban renounce violence, break ties with al-Qaeda and respect the Afghan constitution - including the rights of women and minorities.

another sign of Taliban defeat is that they have agreed to take down their flag and name when afghan government threatened to boycott the process. It shows how desperate Taliban are for talks to happen.
on the other hand, Americans have shown that although they want Taliban to be a part of afghan government, they are not willing to do it from the position of weakness. They would rather cancel the talks if Taliban continue with this fasaad.

US warns Taliban as envoy heads to Qatar - International - World - Ahram Online
But Kerry said that the United States was not yet ready to meet the Taliban and accused the rebels of failing to live up to their side of peace efforts.
“It is our hope that this could ultimately be an important step in reconciliation if it’s possible. We know that it may well not be possible,” Kerry told reporters in Doha.
If the Taliban do not address concerns, "We may have to consider whether or not the office has to be closed."
