i never claim that taliban are upholders of pristine islamic virtues and bear in mind they have their origins in the bandit forces called "mujahideen" which pak army themselves created
but if they do make some efforts to establish islamic laws then they shud be appreciated ( as in the case of flogging) or condemned ( as in the kidnapping and killing of engineers ...as appropriate
They have origins in all that is wrong about jihadi muslim movements born out of hate and ignorance. They cannot enforce anything by acts of violence. This automatically invalidates what they are doing. They are part of the bigger problem, not the solution.
Under islamic law they would be put to the death for being murderers and looters.
