Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

Dont count me. I hate his clowns.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

other than their kidnappings and such crimes they were fine, I know people will bring up Bamiyan statues issue immediately but thats a separate discussion to me.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

why do you say that? is that what you believe…or is it what you want to believe?

do you approve of massacring thousands of hazaras? do you approve of banning women from education? do you approve of forcing hindus to wear yellow armbands? do you approve of allowing females to die instead of being treated by male doctors? do you approve of arbitrary imprisonment and torture of shias and ethnic minorities?

bhai, i can go on and on. the crimes of the taliban are far more comprehensive than “kidnappings”.

just look at a few reports from independent human rights organizations…

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

I am not aware of that massacre, when and where did that happen?

do you believe in media? or do you believe in media?

would you rather want Hindus being asked to go to mosque?

I don’t believe they did any widespread torture of “shias” or other minorities for that matter, they might have been from opposing warlords

did any of these “independent human rights” reports improve after Karzai? were they better before Taliban?

Taliban were not best out there, they had shortcomings, they followed traditions which they should’ve abandoned while claiming to be “Islamic” etc. but they were able to control the war-lordism, provide peace to people, unite country to big extent etc, too bad they were on the wrong side of the “world” where they couldn’t get much support to feed their people. Anyway I believe we will go around in circles as such issues have been beaten to death many times. Conclusion: Were Taliban pure Islamic force? Answer: NO. Were Taliban any good? Answer: They were best for their country in that time frame. Did Taliban committ war crimes: Answer: Very likely.

So that is the best alternative I suppose..
My question is why force anybody to do something !!!

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

I myself donot subscribe to forcing a Muslim to goto Mosque, but that is kinda prevalent in Saudi society, may be those Taliban were influenced by that idea and wanted to spare non-Muslims from such enforcement.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

Off course Taliban were the gold standard that everyone should follow. NOT!

Taliban were OK for Afghanistan until they became Arab slaves. As they say, Follow Arabs, get spanked like Arabs.

Thats what I said/meant.

Incorrect. If they were to follow "Arabs" they would've licked Western behind read Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt etc., they refused to be like them and got spanked.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

We all know that Hamid Karzai is nothing more than India’s lap dog.

He is blaming all problems on Pakistan where as he is nothing more than the Mayor of Kabul.

As soon as NATO leaves Afghanistan, a taliban coalition government will come to power.

Its inevitable.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

Buddy, its not Hamid... he has asked for clarification. Since Taliban guy said that ISI is involved on a news channel......
I can see that Afghan response is strong..
Though if you keep on topic, its Taliban who said it on a local-Afghan channel..

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

With all the talk about peace between Pakistan and India, why the hell would the ISI risk all that by killing an innocent indian engineer in Afghanistan?

The taliban, drug lords and war lords killed him. Karzai has ZERO control over Afghanistan. Its not all his fault. USA went to Iraq leaving Afghanistan permaturely.

Pakistan has deployed 80,000 Troops where as NATO and Afghan Troops only number 5,000.

Most of the battles with the Taliban remnants have occured deep inside Afghanistan.

So its quite clear, while Pakistan has Pak-Afghan border blocked off, its the NATO and Afghan forces who cannot say the same and in order to deflect pressure and cosy up to India, Afghanistan is blaming everything on Pakistan.

This kind of reminds me of the situation where Israel finds it self. No matter what happens in the Arab world, Israel gets blamed. Where in this case, no matter what happens in Afghanistan, Pakistan gets blamed.

Re: Taliban kidnap Bharati engineer: Not good for anyone

Tough situation to be in... Don't you think its Pakistan's own creation... where they have international community to answer to for killing of an innocent...
Doesn't this put Pakistan in a very tough spot.........
