If you call MQM a terrorist group then so is PPP, ANP, JI, and JUI. How many times have you used such words for them?
You seem to have just realized how the ineffective role of Government and Army. There was no reason to appear so much surprised about "where the hell is the Government and Army in all this".
If question is to be raised about incompetence of Government and Army in dealing with terrorism then it should have been raised 15 years ago. Why this sudden urge to condemn Government and Army only because the word "Karachi" is mentioned?
You seem to have no idea what is going on in the country and the city. You are asking where government and army is, and how Taliban could inflict war on Karachi's population. But you don't know that Taliban freaks have gone beyond their control. This is why Taliban continue to attack Army and rangers themselves, and they can't do much about it.

MQM has been saying since many years that there is a Talibanization of the city happening. But no one paid attention. Even ANP who is itself a victim of Talibanic ideology would refuse to accept the presence of Taliban and their supporters in Karachi. All due to ethnic considerations.
But here we see the direct threat of Taliban. What more proof do people want?
While PMLN and PTI are busy cosying up to Taliban terrorism, it is likes of ANP and MQM who have to pay the price of their unequivocal stance against kharijism.

situation is so grave, yet govt/security agencies are not willing to do anything about this. there are daily target killings happening in Karachi, sectarian attacks are on rise, everything immoral/illegal has become a normality now. I'm afraid to think where will all this end?

Karachi has been suffering death because of the MQM for the last 20-30 years.

They are enemies of humanity, they all have their bloody hands in this crime against the Karachiites. Criminals from Liyari are involved in kidnappings for ransom, forced collection of money started this crime of terrorism in Karachi. Now PPP, ANP, Liyari Aman Committee all are trying to excel each other.
Zardari, the Mir Jafar of Pakistan is leading this conspiracy against Pakistan. I heard their plan is to invite the NATO troops to Karachi eventually. Our armed forces are busy fighting for their American fathers and getting rotten dollars from them. No one cares for the people. May Allah destroy these filthy munafiqeen.
