taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

bunch of savages killed 6 security personnels and beheaded SP on the spot.
this battle went on for three hrs on Peshawar-Kohat road. and what I fail to understand is that how come there was nobody to back them up. where were all other police/troops? the moment these taliban entered there, they set everything on fire, so all the police equipment/weapons were in ashes in minutes.

this isnt the first this has happened. these attacks are on rise now.after this attack and many other countless brutal attacks, we still have people debating over whether this is really our war or not. we are still differentiating between bad guys and good guys. this confused mindset is not going to help us get rid of this cancer. top army leadership is just busy giving out statements, while our jawans are dying everyday. where will this end? what is stopping them take on these animals?

**PESHAWAR: Superintendent of Police (Rural) Khurshid Khan and six others, including police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel, were killed whereas 12 others were injured when more 300 militants attacked a police check post set up on the main Peshawar-Kohat Road in the Matni area on the outskirts of Peshawar, DawnNews reported on Monday.
**
According to police sources, the heavily armed militants attacked the check post, resulting in a three hour gunfight.

Those killed included three policemen and four FC personnel. Sources said the militants had beheaded SP Khan on the spot.

The 12 injured included FC and police personnel who were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik announced the Sitara-i-Jurat award for the slain SP in recognition of his bravery.

The militants ransacked the check post and set it on fire, reducing police equipment and weapons in the office to ashes. At least four vehicles and three motorcycles were also destroyed in the attack.

Police sources said the militants fled after the attack and there were no militant casualty figures available as yet whereas a number of security personnel were missing.

Funeral prayers of SP (rural) Khan and the other slain officials were offered later today.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, KP Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain and a large number of police officers were among those attending the prayers.

Speaking to media representatives after the prayers, Chief Minister Hoti said that terrorists wanted to deteriorate Peshawar’s security situation.
Moreover, the provincial information minister said that the KP government would soon launch an operation against the terrorists.

TTP claims responsibility of attack on police check post in Matni | DAWN.COM

Speaking over the telephone to this correspondent from an undisclosed location, TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan accepted the responsibility of the attack and said they beheaded SP Khan and two FC officials during the fight and had taken away heads of all three security officials with them.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Whats the difference between taleban and mongols? maybe the only difference is the religion otherwise both were savages.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

not much i say, or maybe even worse than mongols.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

what is with the beheading? these guys sound like they are proper psychopaths.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

they are indeed! far worse than animals, infact calling them animals would be an insult to poor animals.

this isnt the first time, they have done this, few months back they attacked checkpost and kidnapped 17 Pakistani soldiers, beheaded all of them and released videos. there are infinite stories of their barbarism.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Incidents like these make think our Army haat mai choori pen ki bethi hai ? why are they sending regular police in those areas when they know these officers are not trained to handle this barbaric activity .. Where the hell is our Army? why cant they use the weapons on these Taliban?

This is just so upsetting ...

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Remember those 300 something prisoners who got away a while ago. You cant expect them to be good people now.

I am afraid now they are even more fearless.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Wait till the apologists like JI and Imran Khan and Talib supporters on this forum and come and deny that Ehsanullah gave such statement. They will insist that what does this animal knows, only JI, Imran and talib supporters know better.

TTP= wehsi kuttay

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

EB, I am surprised to read that Imran Khan supports Taliban? that cant possibly be true

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

He is certainly an apologist for them.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Seems like you also started to read selective posts these days

Where did you read that?

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

"spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan"
surely the name must be ahsan and not ehsan, ehsan is nice name but isnt it softified version of ahsan. sorry im not upto speed on the current WOT whos who, is this spokesman for punjabi ttp or fata ttp? punjabi i could believe more easily. surely if he came from fata he would prefer the more masculine form

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

no, they are two different words...AHsan means "Better" while EHsaan means "favours/kindness".

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

Ehsaan Ahsaan are third and fourth variants repectively, i purposely didnt include these to the mix. do you have any knowledge of the tribal people who are specifically involved in fighting the pakistani state keeping the name ehsan? thats not same as ehsaan barring spelling mistakes, it seems to feminise the ahsan name unless you or someone knows the difference in meaning between ahsan and ehsan specifically. if there is a difference, and the tribal people fighting pakistan specifically have used both variants then i could entertain the idea that indeed the spokesman is called ehsanullah ehsan

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

i wasn't talking about the political connotations of the words. i simply gave you the meanings of those words...as far as i know, there are ONLY two words which sound some a little similar to a layman but to a zabaan daaN it's quite distinct.

these words are:

AHsan **احسن***] = Better*
Ai'Hsaan **احسان] = favour/kindness**

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

in your two posts so far, withallduerespect, you have escaped without mentioning the name specifically EHSAN. if in the zubaan daan the ehsan name is same as ehsaan/aihsaan we are halfway there but you havent actually confirmed this, then theres the use of this name by those tribal communities who are fighting the pakistani state

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

i think the audio will help us to define the words better so plz listen to the clip. thank you.

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

brother, you have depth of niceness, as nice as i knew you were.

ahsan pronounced AAh san is also a name, afaik it is the leading version among its variants until recently

but the expert linguistics is not main problem, its doubt by myself that the ttp spokesman is called ehsanullah ehsan, ahsan (even ihsan) i’d find easier to believe. also worth mentioning is that these people are pashtun and they are fighters (they captured azadkashmir for pakistan before pakistan even had an army) and generally do not run towards feminising these names unlike perhaps the rest of pakistan, your expertise is urdu (i know you know urdu very well)

but generally my understanding is captured here and i feel this is free from urdu bias: Ahsan | meaning of Ahsan | name Ahsan

Re: taliban attacked checkpost in Peshawar, SP and 6 other killed.

army cant be deployed everywhere, its the state responsibility to provide police with proper training and adequate weapons. in this case, it was indeed really upsetting to see how the battle went on for hours, but there was no backup, no reinforcements were sent whtsoever.
