A few points...Begum Aizaz Rasul only had an ancestral connection to Maler Kotla; her family lived in Lahore, and she had been married off into a prominent UP family well before Partition. Saeed Jaffery left India after Partition, and settled in the UK/US. These people don't really count towards the point you're trying to make. In any case, they're all from Maler Kotla, the one island within East Punjab that was, for historical reasons, spared from the ethnic cleansing that occured in the rest of the state.
