TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

my dada used to send money to his banks in pakistan but now needs it in the uk urgently.

(a mistake as as i always told him but pendu pakistani’s seem terminally stupid when you give them good advise and just seem to ignore you and then pay the price later).

how can this be done?

it is easy to send money into pakistan but how do you get it back out?

it seems to be like a diode…one way only…

is there a way of sending using a british bank a/c and sort code or is that not allowed.

he has a pakistani cheque book but that is in rupees.

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Dude this is this 21st century, you can send & receive money from anywhere and can send anywhere.

I don't know what's the problem, all the major Pakistani banks have branches in Britain !

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

use western Union- its fast and no bank accounts needed.....

there is a law against exporting currency.so rupees in pakistani bank in pakistan cannot be sent to the uk as pounds by banks as it is illegal a more recent law in october 2008 made it even more strict.

as my dad needs this money is there any method at all?

what is western union? i heard they steal your money and is largely used by fraudsters to con people.

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

esecallum- hi western union is pretty effective- my colleagues and freinds use it- u simply go into a branh and hand over the money u wish to send with the persons contact details- they on the other end have to go into any wu branch and clollect taking some id with them.. its safe and efficient........

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Take a look at this link:
Western Union - Send Money - Money Transfer - Transfer Money Online - Find Location

Western Union allows only 5000$ to 7500$ ..

Interbank (international) transfers.. ask your bank do they support it. How much you wanted to transfer? 1 million $ ??

1 - 10 million $ is not a problem if you are registered small business owner.

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

transfer is not the problem. will they let you convert Pak rupees into hard currency? That's where I'd expect you will face limitations for big amounts. A few thous should probably not be an issue - that if you're not able convert and send, find some one who is sending money to Pakistan and swap

poppies why you give me a link which is pretending to be western union.a message came up saying the site certificate is not legitamate on my browser and is a site pretending to be western union to steal my details. How much do you get in kickbacks?

i use firefox.

The pak law forbids hard currency exports.

i just googled western union and thousands of forums and blogs advising against using it.

millions of people reporting how they their money got stolen or "lost".

they say western union steals the money or the details get intercepted by fraudsters who siphon off the money.

sometime the western union agent will sell the details to his criminal associate and get a cut.

even the shops which are meant to give you the pounds steal it themselves.

it seems to be run by crooks.

my dad needs to get about 15k to 30 k out in drips and drabs as he needs it badly.

everyone seems to be a crook in pakistan.

"land of the pure" my ass.

land of crooks more like it.

they should rename it Choristan or Latariland

i despair of finding a single an honest pakistani.

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Hey!!! Escallum- The liink I gave u was a Western Union link and theyre totally legit…let me try again.. sorry but I was on the site myself…hang on… try this www.westernunion.com/

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Escallum - my sincerest apologies but I only gave u advised that is based on REAL people actually using Western Union to deposit and transfer money to all across the world.... they have been using this methods for over a few years and alhamdolilah there has never been a dodgy move at both ends... my apologies but there was no need to get so aereated make such comments- whilst I respect everyone on this site- I always felt that decency and decorum are paramount.

SORRY BUT I AM JUST FULL OF ANGER AND RAGE AT THIS HORRIBLE COUNTRY WHICH SUCKS ALL YOUR LIFE’S WORK,TEARS AND SWEAT AND THE HORRIBLE PARASITES WHO LIVE BY FRAUD AND THEFT.

ONLY LAST YEAR SOME SCUM TRIED TO STEAL MY DADS LAND CAUSING MY MOTHER TO HAVE A STROKE AND MY FATHER SEVERE ANXIETY DUE TO THE STRESS.

OF COURSE I AM ENRAGED.

NOW WE CAN’T GET OUR MONEY BACK FROM THIS HELLHOLE.

what about the MONEYGRAM service? is it any good such as:-

Moneygram agents, Money Transfer International UK Money Gram Money Transfer with MTI

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Dear Escallum
Im very sorry to hear about what you have suffered and I only pray that Inshallah your parents make a speedy recovery... inshallah Im sure you will find a decent way of solving ur dilehma inshallah- I have no experience of the Money gram service so Im afraid I cant comment- I do wish you and urs well ....

first of all, keep you ignorance aside while commenting about Pakistan as horrible country.

there is no restriction taking money abroad through banks from Pakistan. that what all multinationals are doing when having business in Pakistan. and all the importers paying to sellers abroad.

the law you reffering is to about taking currency notes of Pakistan outside in cash!!! normally when you transfer the money to any international bank, it will made in the receiving banks currency by the receiving banks, unless you have rupee account in the receiving bank. which is not very common in UK/USA.

there are following methods for you to transfer money abroad.

  1. Direct TT/ or Bank Transfer from your Pak Bank to any international bank!

  2. Make a Bankers Demand Draft from the Pakistani Bank cash-able at the host country and city into your bank account. its safe and legel transfer.

  3. third option is use money exchanges to transfer money, many will do legel transfers.

you can transfer money to any foreign currency including $, £, Euro etc etc. meaning your rupies will be converted into the receiving banks account currency. dont know if its possible even if you transfer rupee, the receiving bank will convert it into local currency.

last but not least, learn to respect elders, they way you addressed your grand father is really appalling in the first post. looks like you are only interested in his money nothing else.

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

Options:

  1. Wire transfer, you can do it via Western Union or your local bank.

  2. Moneygram, it is also reliable.

  3. Joint checking account. Citibank is one of the largest banks that has branches worldwide including Pakistan. You maybe able to hold a joint account and use it from anywhere in the world. You make the deposit, and any authorized user (your co-account holder) can withdraw and do transactions on the account routinely.

I hope these and above stated suggestions by others help. :k:

i second u ................

Re: TAKING MONEY OUT OF THE COUNTRY -HOW?

money fraud by WU and MG is more common in English countries and gulf than in asian countries as I myself has been asked by many fraudsters if I know a way to steal the WU or MG transaction information by hacking jacking or any way into their computers.

It is only done if the agent want to do it.

In Pakistan WU and MG agents have to be more reliable to get their commission. Losing their status while doing so can cause them a lot payback then earning anything in it.

So Pakistan is still not that much horrible as these English countries who kick you @s$ just making their own laws.
