I agree that the scrutiny should be performed by EC as soon as papers are filed for nomination, anyone with past conviction should be rejected etc. But what can be done about someone who claims to be mentally unstable to court of one country and then ‘elected’ officials make him their chief?

There is a difference between peacefully registering your protest and torpedoing a democratically elected government, however flawed that might be, through blackmailing. If, in the first place, this guy was so concerned about the plight of others, he would have been out there roughing it out in the open along with his “supporters” instead of lounging around in his comfortable bunker. Nonetheless he has already delivered his speeches and made his point. Now it is time for him and all the other “million” people who are assembled there to leave. They too have marked their dissatisfaction with the status quo. The point has been noted. But we don’t need any more dramabazi.
