both are prophets of allah, and celebrating one's birthday cant be allowed and another's disallowed.
I say celebrate all known prophets bdays and get days off for those :D

^Well-said X2. I don't know why people are so superstitous. Pehlay achay Muslim tou ban lo, then set your standards and what not. It says it clearly in Quran that you can intermarry between Ahl-e-Kitaab (People of the Book), that is the highest degree of intermingling.
Some desi folks don't even like to shake hands with others. :( So narrow, and then we wonder why our nations suffer. It's the mentality that's draining our intellect and virtues that set us apart.

Allah ka shuker we don't know birthdates of all 124,000 prophets. otherwise poora saal hee chuTTi hoti.
But I agree there's no harm celebrating birthdates of any or all prophets.
I agree with Ata Bhai too, Take good stuff whoever gives you, and leave the rest
Also Tahir ul Qadri sahab is one of those aalim I listen to and read to whenever get time and chance.

Nonmuslims arabs used to come to Rasool Allah (Sal Allahu Alaihi Wasallam) to learn about Islam, while he was seated in Masjid.

masjid are ALLAH SWT's not us. my concern is not he is letting muslims or no-muslims my concerns is the wrong use of wording! period.
second i dont get the idea of ziarat, aqeedat of humans. ALL our appraisal ONLY BELONGS TO ALLAH SWT! (too me its low level shirk of ziarat-ing some peer fakeer or watever!)
ps. the least i can give them is respect, nothing more!
