Geo invited Tahir Shah. They should have known better , Amir Liaquat should have known better. What was the need of the singer on the show ? Amir asked him to sing ‘eyes to eyes’ . He is in charge of the transmission yet this is what he requested. When Tahir stopped singing , Amir insisted he carried on. Didn’t Amir Liaquat realise why he’s asking someone to sing such a song in his ramadan transmission ? of course , he did. he had the authority and he was in charge. It’s all for ratings LOL…
Exaclty thats my point^ ! Amir liquat called him on his show for a purpose which he showed to everyone! You cant humiliate your guest..be it tahir shah or someother celeb. Apart from who he is or what we think he is..he was stuttering couldnt even sing his song properly.

You do not come onto a Ramadan Iftar Transmission where 99% of the audience are from the 'lower class' and have their own issues to deal with and start singing about intimacy - and that too in English!!! Think logically.
This Amir Liaqat is doing a ramazan show. Why would be want to invite Tahir Shah on his so called ramazan show when the whole world knew he was going to sing his eye to eye song? Now that you have invited him, treat him with some dignity. Dont try an act like David Letterman or Jay Leno, you aint no stand up comedian foo!

The way Amir Liaqat treated Taher Shah is exactly like a lot of us (inclusing me) have been doing by making comments about him. Not about the song, but about his personality, looks and about him as a person.
Sometimes by seeing somebody else behaving a certain (idiotic) way makes you realize your own mistake.
Isn’t Amir Liaqat looking ridiculous in his attempts to ridicule Taher Shah? Amir is just putting in practise what a lot of people have been saying and posting.
And how so many people are now turning against Amir, while they have been doing the same (and even worse). Online hi sahi, sirf baatu se hi sahi.
Making fun of the lyrics is one thing, because agreed the lyrics are funny and make no sense. But bringing down Taher’s personality and insulting him personally is another and should be condemned.
Btw, Taher Shah is such a well spoken person with good manners. Kuddos to him for keeping his cool during the show. Even in his fb message he did not malign Amir Liadat.

For those who are saying that his song is vulgar because he sings about making love.
I don’t think his words of ‘making love’ mean what they originally mean. His English song is just a too literal translation from urdu that it misses the point.
I couldn't even watch it beyond the point he started talking about his hair....I felt so sad for him...but he was so awesome the way he answered this idiot about the feed back he has been receiving about his song....it takes a really humble and well mannered person to answer like that.

I made fun of him too...just the hair...coz he kept whooshing it from one side to the other...but I watched an interview of his, and he was soooo sweet and adorable...I felt like an idiot!
I've been saying since day one his urdu song isn't that bad.
Yeah the english version is ridiculous, long curly hair and the white suit, not very flattering either, but the way he was made fun of .......very very disturbing. I don't think his song/looks deserved being that much insulted.
Look at his expressions in Amir's show, specially at the end, i have no words to express the amount of sadness I felt for him. We live in a sad sad world!!!
