So uhm why is it considered tacky or distasteful to put ur makeup on on the train? not just touching up on the lipgloss/lipstick but applying eyeshadow and eyeliner and mascara n stuff?

Don’t think tacky, but distasteful a little yea…i think it seems unlady-like that’s all…it’s personal, so i say save the makeup applying for the ladies room…that and sajal has a good point too…plus, i don’t wana do it in front of train-riders, while they’re staring at me (unless i absolutely have to)

shukaar..i dont have to worry about makeup things(angoor khattay hain)....my ammi is always yelling at me.... dont do this...dont do that....dont wear makeup...you loook horrible...blah blah....

IMO its not tacky at all.
I put my makeup on while driving as mornings are so hectic and im lucky if i get time to shower and wash hair.
Who cares what the rest of the world thinks.
Trains the same thing, why waste an hour ride on the train.
I say sleep in for an hour, shower put some clothes on and leave the rest for the train :D
There are always ppl around who think they are just too good for the rest of us and will proceed with giving instructions on what to wear and how to wear without realizing that they look so stupid while doing it.

ok i always put lipgloss on in the train…
how do u get your mascara and liner on correct in the train? i would end up jabbing my eye…! i usually dont wear mascara or liner and when i do i have to be really careful so that my hands dont shake…
i hear guys at my work say that the most remarkable thing they saw a woman in the train do was put on her makeup perfectly in the train and not shake even once…so no it aint tacky if u do a good job with it gurl! but be prepared for the stares…lol.

I used to go to work early so I did make-up on the train so I could get 5 minutes more sleep in the morning. UNTIL one day, once I finished the guy sitting nearby said to me "hey, you look a little familiar. do i recognize you from somewhere?" ack. That put an end to my public makeup sessions.

Glad I don't have to worry about that. I save make up for something like a wedding adn for the rest it's me and my skin. Makes life a lot easier. :)
I always quick quick put surma in my eyes, nivea thapna on my face and done. :D

anybody ever been to dubai or saudi arabia? i was in dubai last year and my face felt NAKED next to every other girl in britney spears’ tousled hair, smoky eyes and lipgloss…
i caught the surma craze from there bought a few tubes…wore it about once or twice…looks hot but not my everyday look…

I have seen girls driving cars at 100 mph...and still applying make up...looking into the front mirror...combing hair...and when they finish...they start reading papers...or looking again and again into the front mirror...and all at 100 mph...now beat that...

I use an eye pencil actually, I always call it surma. Hey have you ever tried those from Pakistan, you know with that scary steel needle like long point which you are supposed to glide inside your eyes? When I was little, my Mom used to put that in my eyes. Terrible!
I heard stories about people in Dubai being more modern even then people in the west. But Saoudi Arabia surprises me. Are you serious? Girls really look like that in Arabia?

well even the ones with the headscarves on...the ones in dubai...but they have tonnes of Mac eyeshadow, foundation, mascara and lipgloss...i have only heard about saudi women piling on the makeup....
