I prefer chivari chairs too, but thought in ur qn u meant chair covers.

chiavari's are so lovely, they don't need covers.
i think it comes down to your budget, and what your venue looks like. for instance, chiavari's cannot sit on grass if you are having an outdoor wedding as they are not stable in that case.

good point… i haven’t really seen any… the ones we had were for outdoor use, so they were white resin folding chairs. those were pretty nice and they come in tan and black, too. a friend used them in white for her indoor wedding too and they fit in nicely.

I attended a desi wedding recently where they used black!!! I wish I had taken better pics to show you guys 
Everything was very simple and elegant. Tables had a smaller centerpiece .. but there were side tables that had huge arrangements that complimented the over all look.

They used chivari chairs as well. Here is a pic of family friends that I took… try to make out what you can see of the decor… I know its not the greatest pic. 
The bride wore turquoise so she really stuck out (in a good way).
It was an evening wedding and the overall black look was stunning.
