Perhaps India could have got a few more runs in the end but 192 was a potentially match-winning total. Bowlers just did not perform (or were not allowed to..)
I do not have the stats to hand but I would think that 190-plus is a match-winning total 90% of the time in T20 cricket.
Had the target been 10-15 runs bigger, Windies batsmen might have accelerated even more from the start but they might have also lost more wickets in the process. No one can say with absolute certainty as to what might have happened. South Africa could not defend 229 against England in Super 10!
It is impossible to analyze games in hindsight. That said some of Dhoni’s decisions do not make sense at all, like not bowling Ashwin’s full quota of overs
