CONGRATULATIONS TO PAKISTAN, PAKISTAN TEAM AND EVERY PAKISTANI LIVING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!
The team has brought so much happiness that its hard to explain. I saw thousands of people at the exact same location of the SL attacks i.e. Liberty rounds. The crowd was crazy jumping, roaring, cheering, Chanting slogans, , holding flags, dancing, performing fire tricks, playing patriotic songs, lightening fire crackers. Every one was there enjoying! What a sight it was .. After such a long time we heard a good news, a total breath of fresh air after hearing the ***‘in Pakistan there has been a bombing…’ ***.. it was ‘Pakistan has become the world champions..!’
Thank You to our team to bring us all the happiness that had disappeared. Great performance, great team work .. and what a win!!

Indians did not even play the match against them…What an arrogance…
Honestly…I can see what Pakistanis are going thru here…Success for them is rare a commodity…When it is avaialble this is what happens…
Well to be fair to Manjrekar he calls Imran Khan 'My God'
I guess he was just trying to act proper and smart in front of Ian Chappell by mentioning the unpredictability factor of Pakistan cricket.
What about the inconsistencies of atleast two other teams - India (with all the IPL money and drama), Australia - who were supposed to do well here, not to mention chokers South Afria who were expected to win the cup.
Goden Asif.. I have been following your posts.. everytime you talk about arrogance, attitude, BCCI drama and money...How are these related with Indians failure?.. Plz enlighten me?...
What would you have said had you seen a banner ( see above, one of the posts) like this bashing Pakistanis by Indian fans?

These Videos are great .. Celebrations all over the world. Watch them!

London,England:
Calgary,Canada:
indian actually **could **NOT play, they tried their best but they were not fit for any bigger team, they staged ipl, icl drama and stuff, had so much fun and dance etc but they forgot to learn how to play and win and hence they were out of tournament eve before super 8, what a shame for defending champanzians ![]()
On the other hand we played and we win, this is simple but for indians this is undigestable as we can see and we understand, so I can offer you some dry tissue, some diapers, and some chooran chatni for digestion ![]()
Say Long Live Pakistan
Jay Ho ![]()
Well said SONA, Indians are cheap b******s. I don’t know how much of them have suicide till now, any clue?
Congratulations to all of us, hard working, sincerity and Allah’s help made us the champion. Thanks to the winning team who cheered us at this difficult time. JEO tu Aise

yaar the banner was just a bit of humour at your expense obviously
Take it easy even if some fans and members are milking it in
As for why we think so about many indian players, Kakaballi is right on the money here
Again, it is not about hating India or Indians. It is just that the India players/supporters were too full of themselves having achieved media flamed success.
Just compare Afridi's celebration after taking a wicket to any of the Indian bowlers. Pakistanis express pleasure when they take a wicket, Indians displayed anger and something like 'disgust' for the opposition. Apart from Tendulker perhaps. He is a gentleman.
Agreed Tendulkar is a gentleman....sadly can't say the same about most of the rest

The banner is a proof of the fact that you guys are not any different, actually worse.
Were you playing India or SriLanka.
Which players made what ? Always an India-Pakistan matches were full of Adrenaline.
IPL and ICl made sure that Indians and Pakistanies played together. This made it less confrontational when the two teams meet.
I think you guys are just being jelous and cannot tolerate IPL for whatever its worth .

IPL maybe whatever it is but we are certainly not jealous of it. The arrogance shown by the Indians and how on the back of IPL they were going to win the cup came back to haunt them. Before the tournament it was all how the Indian team is well oiled because they have been playing IPL and afterwards oh our players were tired because of too much IPL. Angoor buahat hee khatey hain.

Who said those. You are assuming too much. IPL had enough representation from many countries. Dilshan and AB shined in IPL and took some of their forms to the world cup. India and south africa were well balanced on paper. ofcourse when it came to execution they lacked fire power.
India won last world cup without playing even one t 20 before its start.
T20 is entertainment cricket. You need different skills. IPL is one entertainment party.
If Pakistan dont care about IPL or ICL why would your players try to get into IPL teams.

Your own media said that. I am not assuming you need to get things into perspective.
Why do players try to get into IPL, its because fo the money the same money which made peopel like Pieterson say that they cannot ply in Pakistan because of the terrorist threat but when it came to India it was "We cannot allow terrorist to dictate to us".
Re: T20 Final - Pakistan v Sri Lanka - Jun. 21, 09
I personally do not encourage neither condone the behavior of my Pakistani peers who have opted to express their elation by means of braze and insolent rejoinders at India and the Indian fans. Personally, I would much rather thank God for our team’s success, and appreciate my team and its players, and just leave it at that.
That being said, I do see where some members are coming from… the attitude and haughtiness that was on display by the Indian spectators in the early Indian matches was something very appalling. Banners and banters mocking Pakistan when Pakistan wasn’t even playing against India was something that got to a lot of my countrymen I suppose, and I guess I can’t expect everyone to be calm and composed in the face of such disdain and pompous attitude.
Additionally, we also need to understand that many Pakistanis see this victory as vindication of Pakistan’s place in world cricket which was constantly being questioned for the past two years with teams denying to visit Pakistan not just because of national instability, but also because many teams and their respective cricketing boards just didn’t take Pakistan cricket seriously. So, in the context of that situation, the current win holds special in allowing us to exculpate any doubts about the competitive ability of the cricket team.
I hope this puts things in perspective. Again, I personally didn’t feel the need to, nor have I engaged in denigration of any other country including India, and I would again request the fellow members on this board to consider doing the same. Let’s enjoy our win in an absolute sense with humility and modesty in line with our religious and cultural values.
I’m sorry but I’ve been holding this in for the last three or four days since winning the semi-final and I just had to come out and say this because it hurts me to see my colleagues engage in the very same mannerisms that we initially condemned from the other side. I understand the urge and impulse for a reply, but let’s try to steer away from condescending behavior, and remain humble in our success.
Thanks for reading this through.

i second that
Lucid I agree in essence with what you are saying here but we have to understand that some of us (fans and members alike) are quite eccentric and overemotional people and get carried away with emotion after a win or loss because of our mutual history etc. (don't want to dwell on that too much on cricketnama...)
Banners and banter are ok with me as long as they do not cross sensible limits of decency and those for me are swearing, using foul and vulgar language etc. to denigrate each other. That I agree is plain wrong..
