T20 Final - Pakistan v Sri Lanka - Jun. 21, 09

Sanjay being indian was trying to make it look like this win was only because of few individuals , but Ian covered every aspect and person and told him this win was a result of Team efforts :cb:

HAHAHA, I was like WTH is this guy doing, first I thought he was tightening the string of his trousers until he just pulled the whole thing down LOL, good thing the camera came off of him …

Re: T20 Final - Pakistan v Sri Lanka - Jun. 21, 09

nice looks like the traffic jam would’ve been for like a couple of hours atleast

:omg: yeah :omg:

lol I saw that and his white undies :omg:

Not really!! I think he has been really praiseworthy to Pakistani team in this clip and general commentry :)

Congrulations everyone for winning the 'fun' cricket World cup. Afridi for the presidency.

Thats right outside Kebabish

Hey, great post but yeah quality isnt that clear. However, Post more whenever you can! Ilford lane looks jampacked!

Well to be fair to Manjrekar he calls Imran Khan 'My God'

I guess he was just trying to act proper and smart in front of Ian Chappell by mentioning the unpredictability factor of Pakistan cricket.

What about the inconsistencies of atleast two other teams - India (with all the IPL money and drama), Australia - who were supposed to do well here, not to mention chokers South Afria who were expected to win the cup.

Re: T20 Final - Pakistan v Sri Lanka - Jun. 21, 09

what i interpreted from his talks was

that pakistan only has a couple'a good players (shahid afridi and umar gul) and on their lucky day pakistan got lucky and beat "better teams" (SA and SL)

haha, This one is my favorite of the three you posted. Look at them sing Dil Dil Pakistan.

keep posting..

:jhanda:

Correct

I think Sanjay's smarting from the fact that Pakistan have beaten the world at T20 despite playing next to no cricket recently - mind you Pakistan has played very little international cricket since the last T20 WC in South Africa - and despite being considered rank outsiders at the start of the tournament.

Ian Chappell corrected him by saying that Pakistan is a good allround team with others such as Akmal, Misbah, Malik, Razzaq, Ajmal, young Aamer etc. contributing to the team's success as well. Ian also admired the fact that 'Pakistan seems to be the only country that does not shy away from giving raw talent a chance at a very young age' - case in point: Ahmed Shahzad (17), Shahzaib (19) and Aamer (17). Where-else would you find a 17 year old opening the bowling attack for their country at international level!!

We all have same conclusion?

Imran all praise for team

NEW YORK - A delighted Imran Khan Sunday warmly congratulated Pakistan cricket team over their “tremendous performance” in the Twenty20 World Cup final against Sri Lanka.
“Our cricketers did us proud,” Khan, who was the captain of Pakistan cricket team in 1992 when it won the coveted World Cup, said in a telephonic interview with The Nation.
Imran Khan, who had just landed in Houston, Texas, from Dallas said the Pakistani cricketers, despite their isolation from international cricket, fought courageously and came from behind to clinch the World Cup.
He said the morale-boosting news came in the wake of the Swat tragedy and several other setbacks. “This victory is so uplifting,” he remarked.
